I love this place sooo much. The food is unbelievable, the prices are super fair for everything you get (main dish, salad, bread). The service is always spot on and friendly. Going to pasta e pasta for dinner makes date night feel extra special.
For me, it’s been difficult to find good Italian food in SoCal. Pasta e pasta is the only place that does it right (for me)!

Maybe outside of a few michelin spots like osteria mozza and a few others, probably my favorite pasta spot in socal. Definitely for the price i dont know a better place for pasta. Japanese style pasta thats a cut above a place like spoon house in gardena. Although spoon house will always hold a soft spot for me since i went there since they opened back in the late 80s.
Ive had most of the items on the menu and everything was excellent. Personally i live the mentai cream and beef ragu the most depending on what im in the mood for. The free salad and bread is very nice as well. And you can ask for more bread AND salad, unless that policy has changed. Havent been to the one in little tokyo but have heard that one is actually better? Not sure personally.
I go here probably once a month as i crave that great al dente pasta and sauce. Usually a wait at dinner time but it usually isnt too bad.

Probably the worst pasta I ever had, I ordered the beef ragu. It was so expensive and the meat tasted like microwaved meat. I only had 2 or 3 bites of my dish and left. Why do they think they can charge for premium pasta? This is the worse pasta I ever had. Don’t go here!

I've been to Pasta e Pasta in Little Tokyo, but did not know there was a location in Cerritos! While Little Tokyo is closer to me distance-wise, the quality and taste of the pastas at Cerritos is just as good as Little Tokyo and I would much rather deal with the plentiful parking in Cerritos than the little small lot that may or may not be free depending when you go in Little Tokyo.
Inside, it's not as deep as Little Tokyo, so to avoid a wait, definitely try to go during opening hours. I had no problems getting a table for 4 for Sunday lunch at 11:40 am and noticed it filled up an hour later. Service was great - patient and attentive servers that kept our waters filled and anticipated needs we would have with a baby in the party.
We stuck with our usual, which was uni pasta ($28) and carbonara ($22). Both were creamy and delicious. We finished both pastas in one sitting!
Now that we discovered this spot, we would gladly return to Cerritos for our Japanese Pasta cravings at Pasta e Pasta!

With two locations—one in downtown Los Angeles and another (my go-to!) tucked away in a small strip mall in Cerritos—this place is a true hidden gem. Though the Cerritos location is small, it’s cozy and welcoming. The service is consistently warm and attentive, making each visit feel like a special occasion. I love trying different dishes and appetizers every time I go, and I’ve never been disappointed. Each meal starts with a fresh salad and piping hot rolls that are baked to perfection—soft, fluffy, and addictively good. The star of the show, of course, is the pasta. Every dish is incredibly flavorful, perfectly cooked, and absolutely comforting. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic or something with a unique Japanese twist, their menu has something that hits the spot. If you're in the area, this place is a must try. It’s the kind of spot you’ll want to keep coming back to.

The server with tattoos on his arms was so rude and disrespectful to customers, like other people also mentioned. He was so overbearing and didn’t try to communicate. I don’t want to have the experience again with my family. Their food was good though so I’d like to try many different spaghettis if he wasn’t there.

I loved my experience here at Pasta E Pasta. The restaurant is small, yet cozy and charming. The server was very friendly and quick - props to him because I think he’s the only one running the floor.
Food was absolutely perfect. We started with the creamy crab gratin. The crab was very flavorful and went well with the piping hot cheese. There’s bits of penne pasta inside, but I also liked spreading it on my bread. The Uni pasta was phenomenal. The uni paired well with the creamy sauce and everything was seasoned beautifully. It was very easy to eat - sometimes pasta is too rich that it’s hard to power through. Not this pasta. This pasta is perfect. The noodles are al dente. The sauce is just right.
Only reason I’m giving this place a bad review is because they were rude to me. There is space inside to let me sit, but my party was running a little late. So they had me waiting outside in the cold. The waiter was rude. If you can accommodate a person when the restaurant is not full I don’t see why you make a woman stand outside in the cold. I would have ordered a drink or appetizer while waiting. No common sense from the restaurant.
