Service 5/5Food 5/5Popcorn chicken and tofu are solid appetizers with nice flavor and crispiness.Ribeye Steak could use a bit more salt and pepperTried about 5 hotpot. Can’t go wrong.Unfortunately the vegetarian hotpot’s are with hot water and not a broth.

Got forced by the server to leave halfway thru our meal since they will be closing in 5 mins; states the owner does not want to pay overtime. We came in an hour before closing on a Tue night and was barely halfway thru our meal. No choice but to pack up and leave as he sounded threatening. I paid the tab in advance as courtesy as most restaurants would do but would let you finish your meal at least. I clarified after paying our tab, the directive is clear: we are closing and we need to leave. Such a poor service.

Authentic Taiwanese flavor hotpot. I like it! The only downside is during the busy hours, they are understaffed, and service would be slow.

The food was good and it was the first time in a long time that I enjoyed it. Teppan beef was also delicious.

This shop is soooo underrated. We came across this shop due to a long wait at BP. And it turned out great. A hidden gem in the Cerritos area. They have a wide variety of hot pots and soup, and the tastes are flavorful. Free tea at lunch and dinner. No line and fast service.

If you don't want MSG, don't go here.My wife and mother-in-law wanted hot pot, so we went here. I am highly sensitive to MSG, so I asked for an option without MSG. The server told me there were none. Apparently the food is so pre-prepared they could not make a bland version for me without the seasoning. So I went next door and ordered some Thai food without MSG. (Apparently you can do that with FRESHLY MADE FOOD.) Then I was told I could not bring it in to Pot on Fire to eat with my family... Even though they had no options for me.So I ate by myself. If you are good with MSG the food is probably fine. But the service and thoughtfulness are dreadful.
Dietary restrictions: Don't go here if you have any dietary restrictions.

If hot pot is your jam, this place is it. The atmosphere is chill, the ambience is classy. Food is top notch, and service is great. You'll never feel shorted on broth either!

Had a great experience here. Attentive staff and tasty food. They even went above and beyond when my wife didn’t like the miso soup that came with one of our dishes. Without us even asking or expecting it, they removed the whole dish off our bill. We will definitely be coming back with the amazing service.
