This place is so dear to me. We've been coming to this place with my family for more than a decade, mainly for dimsum. That was before husband and children. Nowadays, I take my husband and haul my 3 boys under 4yo to this place because they love looking at the fishes and eating pork shumai. The food, especially the dimsum is GREAT, reasonably priced, fresh, and just awesome. BUT this review is for how well they treat my children. My boys are not well-behaved, nor are they too rowdy. They make a mess, and they tend to launch their food in the air, unintentionally. With that being said, the staff in this place has always treated us with kindness and understanding. They smile and take time to interact with my children. We never feel rushed or ignored, like other dumsum places. I recommend this place! I just hope they serve dimsum all day, that would be awesome. My faves: - Pork shumai - Sticky rice wrapped in leaves - Shrimp hargow - Shrimp noodle, and - Sweet tofu (taho) for dessert

My first time to eat here, and the food was great! Real Chinese food?

Sadly, it appears that this restaurant is no longer in business since it was closed this past weekend when dim sum is served and the crowds are the largest. This place was the setting for my mom's 95th birthday and my mom's funeral luncheon plus many other times Glad that this ownership lasted five years (since 2014, when I posted that this restaurant was closed I hope that this restaurant will be opened again in the near future.

There is a first time for everything , right! Yes it is! This was our first time eating at a Dim Sum, and i really enjoyed it! I didn't know what to expect as i didn't know how it worked! Any how if i could name everything we got, i'd totally tell you all but all i know is egg roll... hahahahah... WE got everything on the cart and in the soup like containers. EVERYTHING was great, especially the Shrimp wrapped in paper, I enjoyed the tea and all the sides. our waitress cut everything up for us, which made sharing even better! We will be back to try it out again! Thanks for having us!

$1.35 for tea and mustard sauce per person for a Chinese resto / $1.00 for NO tea...huh? Seating charge??? Food not great at all. Rude staff. Over-priced.

Terrible experience in this dirty restaurant. $60/people!!! I was like eating rats when food came. Do you want to taste SOUR beef or lamb? Pls come, they have a lot. If you don't like it, they can impolitely to return. Be careful when you check out. Since they may take away the food only but still bill you. Cheaters!!!

First time lunch here a couple months ago, some dishes were already no more so I didn't eat much. The second time I had to go dinner. Pricy. And the food quality doesn't match to what you paid for. Simply it's the only dim sum place nearby...

Went here with my family for some dim-sum on a Sunday which they serve until 3pm. Got seat in about 15min. The style of service is interesting because servers go around the restaurant with carts with different types of dim-sum and etc. You pick what you like and they mark a slip of paper. However, you have no real idea of what the cost of the items are until you pay your check. All and all the food and service was great and it's nice not having to wait for the food to cook when they are going around as soon as you arrive. My favorite was the bbq pork boa and shrimp wrapped in rice noodle.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. They have absolutely the worst service, rudest service, most inattentive service. They treat you as if you are disturbing them, inconveniencing them asking for water or dipping sauce or any normal thing that you can expect to get at the beginning of the meal. Our party had a reservation so that we could accommodate people in our group who had tight schedules. We arrived and the staff was not prepared. We waited an additional 40 mins! Then the entire time they were rude and showing their annoyance with having to rush to "accommodate" us, when we had a reservation. Oh, and their food is sub-par. AVOID AT ALL COST. THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER OPTIONS TO EAT. GO THERE INSTEAD.

Always had problems with togo orders and had to wait for more than 30 minutes even they told you would only take 15 minuets. I made sure that I phoned them early today at 1:07 and the host told me that my order would be ready in 10 minutes. I got there in 20 minuets and the order was not ready. At 1:45, I told them that I had to cancel my order because the order was not ready. I had to leave. The host was not happy that I cancelled the order and neither did I. Will not order again!

It was good. Was also inexpensive for what we had expected and for what we ate. Service was somewhat slow so I did not give it five stars. Waiting to extraordinarily along period of time to simply get water. I recommend this place

Their durian pastry during dim sum hours is DE.LI.CIOUS. Portions off their menu are HUGE. Service is typical for a Chinese place, just be patient.

OMG, I cannot believe how frequently we've driven by this place in the past decade without going in. Thank you, fellow Yelpers, for putting this place on the Yelp map and allowing me to find it and try it out. Hubby and I are not in the Cerritos area too often any more, but we had business to attend to a few weeks back, and decided to visit RGR...multiple times at this point, lol. Parking isn't too bad, but earlier is probably better. The shopping center is quite large with a lot of good businesses, so you will be sparring for parking spaces during peak hours. RGR also has an underground parking lot that can be used, but hubby and I have been lucky enough to get ground parking on our visits. When you walk through the doors, make a left, and they will either escort you to a table, or provide you a number that they'll call when the table is ready. This restaurant does the cart dimsum, so you wait for the carts to come by, point/tell them what you want, and they mark your tab with what you've ordered. We've only been a few times, so we haven't tried out everything, but are super happy with everything we've had. - siu mai. Classic dimsum and a must. It is fully loaded and well worth the price. Hubby and I always get one plate each so that we don't have to share with each other, lol. - har gow. They have a variety of ones, and all are pretty good. Shrimp is always a fave. Leek/veggie is a fun one, too. - beancurd dishes. They have a variety of beancurd dishes that change, too. Some are more vinegary, some are more brothy. No complaints. - spare ribs. Nice. Not too salty, not a horrible amount of filler. Good amount of bones, unfortunately. - meatballs. Decent. Nothing about it that wows me, but it's a good standard dish - hot tea. I prefer their jasmine tea over their chrysanthemum tea, but at least the teas are decent and not American-ized or too cheap. Some items that we haven't been able to grab just yet: - tripe - radish cake - fried dumplings/gyoza - more veggie dishes. They have a lot to offer, and we're super-looking forward to trying them all! Prices are reasonable. Probably a little less compared to dimsum in Irvine (though that shouldn't be a surprise). Service is surprisingly pretty good for a dimsum place. Will be back.
