Out of all the businesses that exist in this small plaza in Cerritos, Soup Shop has to be one of the best. Walking up to the front of the restaurant, I felt a little uncomfortable because there were so many people waiting for a table outside. I put name down for two and was told it would be a 25 minute wait but didn’t even end up waiting the whole 25, they had the table ready pretty quick.
After sitting down, we both ordered our pho and the food was out in less than ten minutes. I had the combination and my friend ordered the oxtail with a bone on the side. They were both amazing. Considering the price you pay, which most of the pho bowls here are over 15$, the portion makes it absolutely worth it. On top of that, you get unlimited noodle refills to eat with your soup. I have never had this before at any pho restaurant but it was a welcome change haha.
Our server was also very accommodating. He brought me a glass of hot water because I didn’t want ice water and he also checked on us repeatedly to make sure we were doing okay.

Me and my partners go to spot around here. The pho brisket is awesome. The staff is super friendly and the coconut jelly for desert is a must have after your meal. Often a line but they move fast and food comes out quick. It’s great every time.

The bao was tasty, with a bit of sweetness to it. I didn't have the pho but I heard it was flavorful and large serving. The waiter was helpful. The custard was creamy and not too sweet, the sugar on top was crispy and overall yummy.

The biggest reason for eating here is the late hours they are open. The days of really late night dinners are over for many of my neighborhood restaurants. We arrived about 8 pm and there was no waiting although the place seemed quite full. Menu is filled with these colorful well plated dishes so I was anticipating at least a semblance of said photos. Slightly to vastly different from the photos. (Is it IG vs reality photos?) I felt the food was okay but the soup lacked a distinct depth of flavor. Noodles were also still undercooked but softened eventually. I opted for the well done sliced beef brisket pho, my son opted for chicken breast pho ( sliced thinly & skinless chicken) , two more diners got the rib bone beef combo pho. Variety of milk teas : I got the jasmine milk tea and that was just the right amount of milk and sweetness. The menu says the broth is beef for almost everything or vegetable stock available if requested. Quiet overall. Server takes your credit card payment at the table. Desserts are refrigerated and individually packaged so you can even take it home. Coconut jello was good and not overly sweet.

The beef rib pho and the combination pho was bomb. The broth is flavorful and not too salty. The beef ribs were tender and had great flavor. The beef tendon had the perfect texture. It was all delicious and my family thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Will definitely be back.
I don’t leave reviews unless it’s needed. First time at this soup shop location since it is closer to my house and unfortunately i had a horrible experience. The lack of customer service I received, not only did my waiter not check up on me, asking for waters to refill, and never brought. My friend and I BOTH had hair in our food, I called my waiter over very nicely and discreet as I don’t want other customers hearing me (to be considerate) I mentioned to her the hair that was in my plate as she visually saw and pointed to my soup. She then apologized, left and came back stating if we want anything on the house;as I would want anything else coming from the fact there was hair in my food. She was very quick to give me the bill and then mentioned “all their chefs wear a net for this particular reason” as i was making it up when she clearly saw the hair on both of our plates. Then, proceeded to make me pay for food that was clearly unsanitary and wasn’t finished. I am not one to make a big deal so I paid but it doesn’t sit right at all with me that a manager didn’t speak to me for the situation, remake my meal, not even be discounted, and then proceeds to make me pay for the total bill. I am disgusted truly & grossed out as this is very unsanitary for a food restaurant.

I had the chicken pho with beef broth. The soup itself had good flavor, but the chicken was very tough—it had been cut with the grain instead of against it. It was so difficult to chew that I only managed to eat about 20% of it. Isn't slicing against the grain basic cooking technique for chicken?
However it was good we found a late night option. It was packed when we went there around 9:30p!

Love this place!!! Best Pho ever. And their customer service is unmatched! I must come here at least once every two weeks, if not once a week, or even twice in one week! My son treated me for Mother's Day. He had it for the first time and loved it! I love their Thai tea! My favorite pho is the oxtail pho. And I also love the brisket, beef ribs, and filet mignon! This place is a must try!

We have came here multiple times with our small wiener dog in a stroller, and we have eaten here multiple times with her no problem, to be sure we always call before bringing our dog.
Today we called the guy and asked again, he said that’s no problem. So we drive on over here and we get denied to be seated down
Workers here definitely need to be on the same page, especially when we have visited multiple times in the past with our small dog
