I decided to try this breakfast spot because of its convenient location near me. It was my first visit, but I'm not sure if I would return, as I feel there are better breakfast and brunch options in Cerritos. The food was just okay--not terrible. The French toast was a bit soggy, though the presentation was nice. Unfortunately, it didn't taste as delicious as I had hoped. We also tried the Cerritos breakfast, but the bacon wasn't of the best quality, though the potatoes were decent. They weren't as crispy as I would've liked, and I believe there are other places in the area with better options.
As for the service, it did take a while to place our order due to a lack of servers. One of the servers was friendly but the cooks and the server at the front looked grumpy.

This was our first visit to Sunny on South. We arrived around 1 pm, and we were immediately seated. We chose the patio area, as it looked much more pleasant than the inside seating. My wife chose the Short Rib Birria Benedict. Two poached eggs, on shredded beef-rib meat and hashbrowns. We both agreed that it was a tasty meal. I chose the BIG Ern's Corned beef hash. This item included corned beef, diced potatoes, a couple of eggs, and a choice of bread. I wasn't as satisfied with the hash as my wife was with her meal. The potato chunks were a little large. The corned beef was a bit stingy and not prepared in a way that I could consider it hash. If you are a fan of corned beef hash, I suggest that you skip this dish. Both items were priced under $20. We found the service to be fairly good. We were able to order in a reasonable amount of time, and our food arrived in a timely manner. However, it took some time to get boxes for our leftovers and the check. Overall, we would eat here again, but it might not be our first choice.

Love this place! Only thing that is a small inconvenience are the chairs in the patio. They leave honeycomb patterns on your skin if you wear shorts lol. Great food and great service all around.

What a BEAUTIFUL DAY. My waitress was ISABELLA and she was attentive and kind. Very informative and has great Taste@?. Great food , nice location. I cut my sirlon steak with a BUTTER KNIFE, so you know it's tender to be a sirloin. Eggs fluffy. potatoes was season well. Good food and service. Thank you for making my day SWEET. ME & HUBBY ENJOY OURSELF.THANK ISABELLA ?

Absolutely the BEST place ever. This was my second time being here and everything was perfect. My husband got the sweet cream pancakes with berries and added Nutella. I got the Birria Omelet with house potatoes and added onion and bell peppers to them. Every bite was perfect. I wish this place was in Sacramento. Absolutely amazing!

Large portions but YUMMY!! Quantity and quality. you can certainly share your favorite dishes. For Sunday breakfast I recommend you go early because then it fills up and you only have 60 minutes to eat your breakfast.
Kid-friendliness: Open space and space between the tables of the kids want to go around.
