Thought we’d try somewhere new for breakfast near home. Well I came across this diamond ? in rough 10 minutes from home ? Sunny on South cafe food menu is spectacular so many different options to choose from outstanding ? We had quite a time choosing with the big selection they have. I had a delicious Belgian Waffle and I ordered Egg whites scrambled, hash browns, and Portuguese sausage it was so flavorful and delicious ? My husband went for the Biscuits and Gravy breakfast with two eggs ? over medium, bacon ? hash browns and the gravy had a little bang too it so mouthwatering. Great portions given and the staff was delightfully friendly. Our waitress was very polite and very knowledgeable about the food menu which was very helpful. The cafe is one of those hole in wall kinda places that people say “Hey we found a Diamond in the Rough ?” This is a must try Cafe with a Southern Cuban mix which makes the food so flavorful and delicious and the ambiance is warm and friendly. We will definitely be back to explore that delicious huge menu you have for sure ?????????

We stopped for a late breakfast and it was delicious. Great selection of eggs salads and specialty breakfasts. We love the patio outside. I definitely highly recommend Sunny on South.

1st time going here with the family and we all enjoyed the food, the staff was great, our waiter John was very attentive on our needs and very friendly , we will definitely return ???
Very small inside, so if you don't get there early enough, you have to sit outside. Loud inside, too. The eggs and home fried potatoes were regular diner fare, but the sausage stood out. These were nice-sized breakfast links cooked perfectly to be a touch crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The coffee was hot, and they kept it full.My only complaint is the price. Two eggs, sausage, potatoes and toast was $14. Coffee was $5. Inflation has ruined the restaurant business. It shouldn't cost $50 for two people to have a basic breakfast.

If I could give more stars I would! Best monte cristo sandwich I have EVER had. I’m from Arizona but every time I come to California I make time to stop here and eat. SO GOOD. 10000/10
Nice little brunch spot where you can gather with some friends and enjoy some good vibes. However, the food here is not great flavor wise. I ordered the chicken Katsu with waffles and was left disappointed. The katsu chicken was perfectly crispy and tender but had absolutely no flavor. I would come here for the vibes but not the food.

I'm writing this review with a sight hesitation. You know the feeling you get when you like something so much you want it all for yourself? Sunny on South gave me that feeling. I went there for breakfast twice in one month, which is too often for me. I want this place to be there for me from now on, but I don't want to have to wait 45 minutes for a table. However, the wait will be worth it! This place has amazing food and great service! The first time I went I had the Short Rib Birria Benedict (ridiculous)! And I asked the waitress to leave the menu so I could see what else was available. As I was eating I found myself wondering what I was going to order the next time I went. I'm a sucker for a Reuben sandwich and they have a Monte Cristo! That's what I had the second time. The Monte Cristo says they "politely decline substitutions" because they prepare them in-house ahead of time. How bad-ass is that?! The service was friendly and attentive...and the 90's/2000's music made me want to hang out and enjoy a great morning. It's easy to give a restaurant 5 stars when they are good and down the street, so I rarely give 5 stars. But this place gets 5 stars because it's worth going out of your way to eat there. YOU HAVE TO GO!
