Thai Original BBQ Restaurant

​If you are looking for a wonderful meal in Cerritos, you truly can’t beat Thai Original BBQ. It has become such a favorite of mine. They offer an impressively extensive menu, and I’m always struck by how every dish I’ve tried is consistently delicious. However, the true star of the show is the Chili Beef. It is incredibly flavorful—the kind of dish that stays on your mind and keeps you coming back time and again.
​Beyond the food, the experience is always seamless. The staff is lovely, and there is an impressive rhythm to the kitchen; even when the dining room is full, the food arrives at your table remarkably fast.
​Because it’s such a local staple, it does get quite lively and they don't offer online reservations. If you’re hoping to bypass the evening rush, I’ve found that arriving before 6:00 PM is the secret to being seated right away. Even if you do find yourself waiting for a few moments, I promise it is well worth it. It’s the perfect spot for a refined yet easygoing dinner. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Absolutely incredibly-fast service, very good food choices, a great place for Thai food. Best optons are the BBQ Spare Ribs, the curry, Beef or Chicken Satay and Pineapple Fried Rice.

Decided to try this as a new Thai place to go to and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious! We decided to order the chicken fried rice, beef curry and chicken curry as well as the beef satay. We wanted to try the chicken satay but unfortunately they ran out. We were very impressed with the food that was available though. The quantity if the food, AND QUALITY was great! Everything tasted traditional, warm and inviting and we will be coming back. The one thing I feel did not satisfy us entirely was that we did ask for everything we ordered to be extra spicy (seasoning wise) but when we received our food it simply had a lot of green jalapeno peppers added to it (with the rice for instance) which I expected more to be done, but maybe its to make sure food is not wasted or maybe the majority of customers preference. There was also no napkin containers, hot sauce or spice holders at the table to be able to add spice without having to ask for it. We also would recommend adding lime to the dishes because with thai food we always squeeze a lime above to give it an extra boost of flavor. Despite these minimal details, the service was friendly and helpful and we were checked on several times during our dining experience which we appreciated. For the price and the quality and quantity of the food, you cannot go wrong here.

I’ve passed by this restaurant for years and never tried it. Today I had a chance to try it and I felt I should have tried it sooner. The BBQ ribs are fall off the bone tender and packed with flavor. The BBQ Chicken was just as delicious. The atmosphere was peaceful and calm and the service was friendly and efficient. I will be returning.

This place has been a family favorite for many years! It's a small spot that just does it right.

Service is good, but it's the food you come in for! They're definitely not rude, but the service you get sometimes depends on how busy and who you have.

Whenever we dine-in or do take-out, I'm all about that S-1! Not only because it's delicious, but because the portion is perfect for 2 meals, so it's a pleasant meal TWICE. There's something about their sauce and fried rice that hits soooo good. Their Pad See Ew is also super yummy.

Prices are very fair and again, you can probably stretch one plate to two, so it works out even better!

I love this spot and it'll always be on of my top Thai spots ever

I've been coming to this place for over 20 years and sometimes it's good and sometimes their Beef Satee is not so good. It's random every time you come. Today I showed up, after trying to call 5 or 10 times without any answer and then discover that they will be closed till September 11th, so don't bother calling. There was no voicemail or anything letting you know that they were gonna be close to 11th, until you got to the restaurants front door. No consideration for the customers.

This Thai restaurant has been our favorite for over 30 years, with the exception of the COVID-19 period. The depth of flavor and culinary expertise built over the decades is truly evident in every dish. Every meal here is delicious, and even now, our children—who are now grown—still make the effort to come back and dine here.

We deeply respect this restaurant for overcoming the many challenges it must have faced to succeed in the U.S. food industry. However, one lingering disappointment is the consistently unfriendly service, which is something rarely experienced in most American restaurants. It’s especially disheartening to feel that the staff can be even less friendly toward fellow Asians. We sincerely hope this is something that can be improved in the future.

We've been here many times. The food is good and the service is okay. The restaurant is small with no AC. It gets pretty hot. If you want authentic Thai, try this place or Sweetee Thai.

Delicious food! Chicken bbq s-10 famous plate never disappoints!

Ordered takeout of thai tea and chicken pad thai. The chicken pad thai was pretty decent, but I was disappointed in the thai tea.
