I recommend Carnitas Michoacan. There carne asada burritos are good.

Best Mexican food in The Valley. I traveled from Washington and after years away, they still have the best food. Try the carnitas, al pastor... But honestly - everything is great!

One of my go to places for Mexican food! They are open later than other places, their food is consistent and the staff are always nice. Very delicious food! Highly recommended.

My favorite Al Pastor in the West Valley.
I just moved here from Houston TX. The nachos here were way better than any I ever found in Houston.
I love their pozole. If you're ever feeling sick or dehydrated, this soup dish is the cure. Great tacos and burritos, too.
Very good food. very good price and service.
My expectations were high based on other reviews. That being said...
We ordered Asada nachos, carnitas tacos and al pastor tacos.
The carnitas tacos were flavorful. The corn tortilla was soft (some eateries heat the tortilla and it ends up rather stiff with no flavor). Here, the tortilla was heated on an oiled flattop, imparting flavor and making the tortillas soft.
The pastor taco was way too oily/greasy to eat, so can't really comment.
The nachos were incredibly disappointing. The chips were almost stale and we're likely from a bag rather than made in-house. Chips are so easy to make, I can't fathom why any restaurant would choose to buy chips in bulk, in bags. The chips had processed cheese poured on them. This too was likely canned 'nacho cheese sauce'. The asada lacked flavor and had too much gristle. One doesn't want to have to pick the inedible bits out of their food. The asada could have been heated on the flattop and developed some char, making the meat flavorful. The nachos were then topped in a mild salsa Verde, onions, cilantro, shredded white cheese (not melted) and a guacamole salsa. For $18, the nachos were overpriced and underwhelming.
Unfortunately, the food won't lure us back.
Parking: The restaurant is nestled in a corner strip mall on the very busy Topanga Canyon Blvd.

The food is always good, and the red salsa has a kick. They have a self-serve salsa bar and a couple of tables for eating inside, although I always order to go. If you order a burrito and don't like spice, remember to ask for NO salsa and double check. I don't mind it, but my husband can't handle it and couldn't even eat his burrito. The staff realized they made a mistake and remade his burrito, which is 10 stars for customer service. We have this place at least 2 times a month and it hasn't let us down yet.

Only giving 4 stars on atmosphere because that isn't really what this place is about. That said, it is 5 stars all around. The food is excellent and the staff is friendly and service oriented. My wife and I enjoy pretty much everything on the menu as take-out. If you're in the area, please support them---you won't be disappointed. I am a 20+ year resident of Chatsworth so enjoy the many restaurants in the area, and this is one of the best!

This place is a hidden gem. Tucked away in the corner of a strip mall in unfancy Chatsworth, it's easy to be overlooked. Unfortunately, because the food is extremely good, fresh and tasty every time - and the portions are massive! The prices are reasonable and the staff is always supernice. It's not a place to sit down with your date, although it has tables and a beautiful mural.
The only thing they might want to invest in - for their own sake alone - is a good AC. It's always so hot in there. Haha. But I always order for take out, so ...
