“Randomly ended up here for dinner and it turned out to be a really good choice. The pasta tasted fresh, the pizza had a perfectly crispy crust, and everything came out hot. You can tell they don't cut corners with the ingredients. The staff was super welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed without constantly interrupting. The place has a cozy, family-owned feel that makes it easy to relax and enjoy your meal. Definitely one of those spots I'd recommend if you're craving solid Italian food, and I'll for sure be back.”

“My adult children, Bonnie Weinberg and husband Les picked up a gorgeous deli platter for my 91st birthday yesterday. The tray was fantastic, filled with meat, cheeses, pickles, olives, peppers ssurrounded by lettuce. We've ordered before from other delis, but yours was incredible and delicious. An appetizing array that we will enjoy with every bite.”

We get the cooked brisket and the chicken egg rolls. Pair it with a sprite for a crispy cold taste to wash down the delicious food.

“Hole in the wall teriyaki place. You order at the counter, you pick up your food, you clean up your own table after eating. Easy free parking lot or street parking. They have a lunch special for $11.95 that includes chicken and rice with salad. They also have specials A, B, C and D that are around the $15 to $20 price range. I had the special C that had white rice, a big piece of chicken katsu, two pieces of chicken teriyaki, salad, two small onion rings and two dumplings for about $15.95. Not a bad value. You get a teriyaki sauce and hot sauce on the side. Their teriyaki sauce is very good here! The serving is very generous. I was not about to finish it in one sitting.”

“We love Hand Brewed! Great chill place to hang out and have a good beer. They have board games and pinball, and are dog friendly (both inside and outside). They have a great pizza kitchen (and sandwiches/hot dogs) plus they also have food trucks occasionally and you can bring your own food. We go there a lot to watch Dodgers games -- they have like 8 big TVs and will put on the Dodgers rerun channel even if there isn't a current game on. Also the eagle nest cam!”

“Travelled from Nova Scotia, Canada recently for an event. Love hunting down good coffee and good vibes. Rented a car for the day and stumbled on Awkward Coffee. Based on the name alone I knew we had to go. Very friendly staff, great selection of specialty drinks and sweet treats. Got to sample their new strawberry cold foam while we were waiting as well 🫣 I would make the trip from Nova Scotia again just to go back and visit this shop. I pray that have more people come to their restaurant in the future. I Plan on going in a few months for my vacation week it’s an hour and 30 mins from me but I will make my way to the restaurant.”

“Great local find. I ordered from the vegan menu, which was quite extensive. The tom yum soup and drunken noodles with tofu were well spiced with decent portion sizes.
The decor is a bit of an eclectic collection, which I found charming.
The service was great considering there is one older lady in front and (unseen) one person in the kitchen. They even gave a free little vegan ice cream with my check.

“Just had this place for the first time, actually just left right now and this place was AMAZING!!! 🔥 I was looking for a good chicken spot too so im happy i found one & its close. Chicken wings bomb, catfish sooo good, banana pudding yummy (should have bought one extra to go) & kool-aid to finish it off, cant go wrong.
Reminds me of a place I tried in Oregon called The Fried Spot that I've been wanting again & now I can forget that place because Best Damn Chicken tops it and its in my hometown!

“I discovered this little donut shop earlier this week and I'm so glad I went inside because the owner was so kind and helped me decide what to order as a first time customer. I got the Vietnamese Iced Coffee (which was the perfect combination between creamy, sweet, and strong) and a Ham and Cheese Croissant. I'm usually not the biggest fan of glazed donuts just because they're a little sweet for my taste, but after trying one of their hot, freshly made glazed donuts, I was really impressed with the quality, freshness, and texture (soo fluffy)! I got to work and told all of my coworkers to try out this spot. I definitely need to come back because the quality and heart is there!”

“Pockets absolutely deserves some recognition. My family and I stopped in and ordered the Ultimate Steak Sandwich and the Don's Chicken Sandwich, and honestly both were some of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time.
The Ultimate Steak Sandwich was loaded with tender, juicy tri-tip, perfectly sautéed peppers and onions, and not one but two kinds of melted cheese all piled onto a toasted sesame roll. The combination of cheeses took it to another level — rich, gooey, and perfectly balanced with the meat and peppers. Every bite had great flavor and the meat was cooked just right. The Don's Chicken Sandwich was equally impressive — crispy, perfectly seasoned chicken topped with fresh avocado and crispy bacon. Not the kind of avocado that's been sitting around either — you could tell it was fresh.
We added fries to both orders and they were exactly what fries should be: crispy, well-seasoned, and not greasy. A great complement to both sandwiches.
The place itself is small and cozy — just a few tables — but the parking is easy which is always a plus. What really stood out though was the owner. He was running the whole operation by himself and somehow kept everything moving quickly and got our food out fresh and hot without any wait. That kind of dedication shows, and you can taste it in the food.
Pockets is the kind of local gem that deserves way more attention than it gets. If you're looking for a seriously good sandwich in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in. We'll definitely be back.”

“Decided to try this place on a whim, I was traveling in the area for business and just felt like finding a local owned and AUTHENTIC TAQUIERA for some quick street tacos. The directions led me to the Walgreens parking lot and that's where yoy'll find Gil's setup with some RED pop-up tents right on the sidewalk.

There's one picnic table if you want to sit down, but this is more of just a Grab-n-go place.

Started chatting with an older Mexican guy who had just gotten off of work and was grabbing some dinner. I was originally looking to get tacos but when I saw the Torta el Pastor getting made for the man before me, I immediately ordered one all-the-way. There was at least a pound of el Pastor meat piled high with cheese, onions and celantro.

But since I am a fiend for Tacos de leunga I ordered one of those as well. When Gil heard a Gringo like me order a Tongue Taco, he loaded so much meat on the fresh corn tortilla that I was able to make 2 tacos!

The sauces are fresh and savory, but the Red Sauce is not for the weak, roasted habanero with a great kick!

Definitely a great spot for industry and service folks to grab an inexpensive meal of Torta and Tacos. Great service, fast, and clean. Definitely reminded me of some of the roadside Taqueria's in Mexico that I've eaten at over the years. Definitely enjoyed the food, pictures tell a 1000 words.”

“This location has a great staff, they work well together and the food tastes hot and fresh. But the negatives are that it's difficult to find parking when the lot is full. It's a very busy location with many eateries and shops. Plus this store is small. They were busy and it felt very cramped. Also there aren't many tables for seniors or the disabled. There are only two available. The rest of the tables are too high and have stools. Not good for someone with bad knees, like myself.”

“I stopped by this donut shop yesterday to get a donut. I was in the plaza waiting for a chicken place next door to open so I wanted a light snack.

This store is in a plaza with limited parking but I was able to find a spot since I came before lunch. I asked the man working if they had a minimum amount on credit card before a fee was applied, he said no. It wasn't until I was about to pay that I saw the notice on the side of the checkout that said there was a few.

I just got a regular glazed donut and ate my donut there. The donut wasn't as good as another popular donut shop.”

“It was the first time we visited this restaurant. My family and I loved the food. We ordered Maharashtrian and south Indian food. All dishes were delicious! Especially the Kolhapuri Tambada Rassa!!! It was so authentic that it reminded us of Kolhapuri home food. Along with that, the restaurant owner gave us complimentary Zunka & Bhakri! So exquisite! She suggested us some chef's special dishes. Kanda Bhaji, Sole kadhi was unique. Highly recommended!! The person who took our order, Aashish was kind and gave us the best hospitality during our visit. People should definitely try this restaurant for authentic Maharashtrian dishes!”

“Tried line dancing for the first time here and absolutely loved it. Even though the place was packed, it never felt chaotic or overwhelming, which made the whole experience really enjoyable.
As someone who had never done line dancing before, I really appreciated that there were beginner-friendly dances as well as more advanced ones for experienced dancers. One of the nicest parts of the night was simply watching the couples on the floor, they were clearly having a great time, and it added such a warm, fun energy to the atmosphere.”
