What a fantastic restaurant. Not surprising that lots of people there drove from far away to eat. So good!
The food is really tasty here. It takes you back to the home cooked food from a Chennai (India) household. The buffet and al carte both have a lot of options. The staff is extremely polite and pleasant.

We contracted Woodlands (new ownership since 2026) for our daughter’s arangetram (350-400 attendees) held at Pepperdine University. The owner, Jaspinder, was really easy to work with. Their food is delicious! I, personally, think their bhel puri is the very best in all of Southern California). They were able to accommodate our request for no onion, no garlic in the food. Based on the reviews, Woodlands Indian Cuisine is a wonderful, all vegetarian Indian restaurant with a lot of interesting options. The food is always amazing, flavorful, fresh, and seriously some of the tastiest Indian food. The best South Indian food in the area includes great dosas, chutneys, and the gobi Manchurian is a total sleeper hit. Their unlimited dosa nights on Thursday are so much fun, offering a nice variety of dosas and appetizers. The coffee is also very tasty and authentic. The portions are big and everything is affordable. The team working there is incredibly sweet and attentive, making great recommendations. They also catered a party, arriving on time and setting everything up seamlessly, making the whole process completely stress-free.
