La Popular is a warm and welcoming restaurant where guests feel like part of a community. The menu offers a variety of options, including tacos and enchiladas, making it a great spot for special events and all occasions. The enclosed patio is a great spot, especially as it was super loud and crowded inside near the bar on a Friday evening. Guacamole is a MUST HAVE, a fresh huge portion. If you like spicy, order the salsa plate with samples of 4 spicy salsas. Fresh chips come with both of those dishes. The seared tuna tostadas are another good appetizer. The house salad is fresh heirloom lettuce with radish cherry tomatoes and a light vinaigrette. The ambience is hip and cool, with a wonderful ambiance and very good vibe. The food quality is good, and you can see they care. Get the Queso Fondito with the chicharron! The drink menu was a highlight with lots of unique and creative cocktails. Service is friendly, and the server was nice and took care of us. Milad was very helpful and friendly and gave very good recommendations. Parking can be hard to find.
