I ate at SanSai in Chatsworth today . I had miso soup, salmon plate with brown rice and steamed veggies. The food was excellent. The restaurant was very clean. The owners are friendly and hard working to make sure every customer is happy and satisfied. They have a wide variety of food. They also have Sushi which is very popular. They also do take out orders and large orders for take out for parties and any event. I strongly suggest you try this restaurant. You will not be disappointed!

Great food with affordable prices. The miso soup was perfect on a cold cloudy day!

The salmon looked like it had anemia. The A/C is off, they didn’t even bother turning it on since there’s just 1 customer (not surprised). How did this business survive this long? They even have the audacity to put the sign NO REFUNDS—that should be illegal

Do not eat here. Food was not good and made me sick. Not sure what they are doing to the food but it was not good. I do not recommend.

If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese dining experience, Sansai is a must-visit! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and an ambiance that feels like a slice of Japan. The minimalist decor, soft lighting, and subtle Japanese art set the perfect mood.

The menu at Sansai is a showcase of Japanese culinary mastery. Whether you’re a fan of sushi, ramen, or traditional izakaya dishes, there’s something for everyone. The sushi here is exceptional, with fish so fresh it practically melts in your mouth. I highly recommend trying the chef’s choice sashimi platter—each piece is beautifully presented and brimming with flavor.

Beyond the sushi, the Steak-Plate is my favorite, cooked to perfection without a hint of oiliness. And the ramen, with its rich, umami-packed broth and tender noodles, is the perfect comfort food, especially on a chilly day.

Service at Sansai is another highlight. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to make recommendations if you’re unsure about what to try. They go out of their way to ensure you have an enjoyable dining experience.

Whether you're there for a special occasion or just craving some quality Japanese food, Sansai delivers on all fronts. It’s the kind of place where the passion for authentic Japanese cuisine truly shines. Highly recommended!

Used to love sansei. This store location gave me this Washington roll with salmon that looks terrible and does not taste fresh. Drove 25 minutes to get my order. They would not refund me unless I bring the order back, which they will throw out anyway. My wife didn’t even eat the roll, and I don’t have time to drive all the way back with kids at home. Terrible experience.

I paid with my credit card and they said it didn't go through, but my bang said I was charged. They didn't give me the order and told me I could come back the next day if it still didn't go through, they said they would give me my money back. I go back the next day and they say they can't reimburse me, and that it didn't go through on their end. DO NOT GO HERE< THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS

Ordered the All You Can Eat Sushi. Very disappointed at the quality of the food. The sushi looked like "Super Market Sushi" that was made yesterday. The price was definitely "Restaurant Level" though. The quality was poor enough that I didn't bother to order anything beyond the first round. On the good side, there were people in the place that ordered other "non-sushi" dishes and they looked great. Also, at least I didn't get sick after eating the sushi.
