A small Sizzler for us. They had the same items as the Palmdale Sizzler just in small portion size. Unfortunately the cost here is also higher!

Arrived at 825 pm on a Monday night. Hours posted online , as well as on the door 9pm close. Upon reaching the front door, attempted to pull the front door open?
It was locked?.
Waitress sitting in the front, indicated we are closed. We are trying to get out of here- sorry. Not how a business that has not been booming over the past few years should be conducted. That's what I get for trying to support a dying business.

This goes to the Sizzler company:
We were traveling in the USA again after pausing several years and had Sizzler on our bucket list. In the first few weeks, we didn't have the opportunity to visit one of these restaurants - either there were no branches or they looked quite empty from the outside. This is not a good sign for a buffet, which used to be a key aspect of going to Sizzler. So we visited this restaurant in the last few days of our stay and were completely disappointed.
There were just 2 people in the restaurant at 7.00 pm. The company had switched to order counters at the entrance, which is simply inappropriate for a restaurant of this category. These counters convey a fast food atmosphere and put the customer under pressure.
On the other hand, they also give customers the opportunity to leave the restaurant without any red tape. That's what we did when we saw the prices, which were completely exorbitant - even for California. We had rarely eaten top steaks at Sizzler in the 90s, the combo with the salad bar was the attractive thing. Here, a medium-sized main course would have cost us around 20-25 dollars with the salad bar-addon alone for around 12 dollars, almost 40 dollars including tax per person. That is too much. Apparently the other customers can also do the math, which is why the restaurant was so empty.
This was a bitter disappointment, as the whole family had been looking forward to a reunion with the once attractive steakhouse chain for a long time. Then something more down-to-earth in the Golden Coral if you're in the mood for a buffet and steaks. The Sirloins in Vegas were hardly any less well prepared than we remembered the Sizzler steaks from the past.

Being that we just dine in at the sizzler on Manchester in the city of Inglewood and the food and service was top tier, I was so excited once I saw the location on Devonshire in Northridge.

I took my kids as a treat and they were not pleased with the choice. The ground beef was smothered in oil that was already separating from the actual mystery looking meat. The Mac and Cheese was crusted and so old it appeared to have been from a week ago.

The spaghetti noodles also hard in texture. I asked the server why the fried chicken was black and if there were any fresh pieces being prepared in the kitchen. She came back with identical pieces and said “the cook said they’re fresh” .

They have the audacity to cut the Sizzler Toast in half, lol and they’re scorched tasting. It’s just a mess. Perhaps if this location takes a field trip to the Inglewood location they can take back a lesson or two on how to serve food that customers are happy to eat. That would really help, because this place is really- really -really bad!

The manager sat in the front and ate food from the kitchen he didn’t even eat that scary salad bar food. I mean yuck. What a waste of $60.

I took a bite of the food on my plate to be fair and gagged instantly. Just very unappealing and stale tasting. Pics below. The only thing that was decent was the cornbread, and signature lemonades.
All we ate was broccoli and cheese soup, total rip off. Don’t wait for me to come through those doors ever again. They should change out the oil in the fryer, and serve FRESH FOOD.
