Beer Lobo is a cozy, chill spot with a fun vibe and a beautiful, historic location in downtown Chico. It feels off the beaten path but remains walkable. The bar is not a college bar, featuring beautiful lighting, a cute crowd, and a curated, great selection of beer. The focus is on quality, lighter beers, offering an amazing selection of local, German, and Czech Lagers and Pilsners, including Czech style side pull tap beers. This provides a refreshing alternative to IPA-heavy bars.
The staff is very friendly and the service is good. It is an excellent beer bar and an instant Chico classic, perfect for a stop after work or to start the night. The establishment is also known for its huge hearts and helpful community spirit. For food, the hand tri tip grilled cheese with cold slaw comes highly recommended. Beer Lobo is a great place to support a new, local business.
