This happens every time: They REFUSE to make the pizza, dare I say, to even look at the dough, until you've paid and asked about your order. Expect to wait for everyone in line to order and receive their pizza, while your pizza sits unattended guaranteeing you have to ask about your pizza again. We still brave the non-existent service for a delicious slice..so either we're a 'gluten' for punishment or they're doing something right.

The pizzas themselves are adequate, but pizzas in the display they don't have names on them so it's basically a guessing game of which one matches each name on the board that's all the way across the room on the wall and finding out whether or not you guessed right when you order by pointing at whichever ones look good at that moment and seeing what you get rung up for.
Also, the bathroom is ridiculous. So much wall space, but not a single hook for a purse or backpack (despite seemingly catering to students). The toilet paper dispenser is broken and the flap doesn't stay down to allow access to the top roll after the bottom roll is done. In addition to that, the sink handle was completely missing and had filthy water sitting in the cavity where the handle should've been.

Pizza was good, but service was not. We weren’t greeted at all, even when we ordered the young lady didn’t say hello and was very hasty. It was our first time and we didn’t know how it worked, so when we had to wait 20 minutes for our slices we picked out we were very confused. It would have been nice for her to greet us and tell us how it works.

This is the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life, no contest. They have mastered the perfect crust, it’s always thin and crispy. They have so many creative pizza options and you can truly tell that the ingredients are always fresh and high quality. Truly a delicacy of a pizza. I’m so blessed to live where this pizza place is. The spicy vodka pizza is always phenomenal. They have such nice and cool workers who get your slice out to you quick with all the fixins, fresh grated parm and whatever additions go with your pizza slice. The vodka comes with a fresh pepper for you to squeeze over it. I just love this place, if I’m ever having a tough day I’ll stop here for a meal and it’ll cure me. Plus they have a great student special! I love you bodega if you made merch I’d wear it every day. Thank you for your service.

The pizza was absolutely delicious. The place doesn't have too much seating especially if you have a larger party. The BBQ pizza was my favorite. Would definitely recommend.

This is the best pizza my husband and I have ever had! It set the bar so high that we can’t go anywhere else. Every slice I’ve tried was delicious but the vodka is my go to. The crust is the perfect consistency and the sauce flavor and ratio is very well done. We get pizza at least every week now if not more!

Great little place in downtown Chico with pizza that reminds us of the slices back east. The dough is just the right thickness and super tasty toppings range from veggie to full on meat for the meat lovers. So happy to have this eatery in town!

I got the meatball slice. It was absolutely incredible. The best pizza I’ve eaten in Chico! Care and love goes into these pizzas! So delicious. This is my first time going in, and it will definitely not be my last. The owner greeted me with kindness, and hand grated Parmesan cheese before he handed it to me. It was a pizza lovers dream. If you haven’t tried this yet and you love pizza, stop going everywhere else that you’re going and go to Bodega!!!!
