We can’t afford to eat out right now but we splurged on Burban for our first anniversary because we always love the food (and the last time we went, we sat at the bar and had a blast). This time I chose a table because it was a special occasion. Unfortunately, our server never checked on us. If she had, I would have told her that the five $7 shrimp on my salad were so coated in black pepper they were inedible (and the same for the fries). The shining light is always the delicious calamari though. We’ll try again when we can and hope for better service, but it was a real disappointment for a first anniversary.celebration splurge.

Decided to give this place a try on a Sunday morning. Not a big fan of the Meriam Park area, but this little bit was extremely nice. The staff was super friendly, and the establishment itself has a great atmosphere. Both indoor and outside seating, and large TVs over the bar if you want to watch a game. The waiter was awesome, friendly and very prompt.
My wife and I both ordered the same steak omelet. The only complaint was the steak in the omelet was very bland which took away from the dish as a whole, but everything else like the eggs, veggies, potatoes, and sauce was great. It was cooked perfect as well. We'll definitely eat here again.

Second time eating there, first time I had the salmon dish which was very good. This time I had the braised short ribs and greens & mashed potatoes which were also very good (maybe a little on the dry/lean side but still tasty and would order it again)

We sat at the bar and had food and drinks. The espresso martinis were delicious and so was the food. I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and the urban feel of the restaurant.

I've tremendously enjoyed my two dining experiences, both on a Tuesday. The duck tacos, a Taco Tuesday special was truly amazing. Something not often available in Chico. My second experience, while dining with a friend, was no less enjoyable. Both the short rib tacos and the pork belly version were wonderful. The Salmon with orzo was a must order. The flatbreads are a worthy experience. Josh provided an amazing level of hospitality during a busy Tuesday both times. Nicely done Burban Kitchen.

I just tried this place recently, and I already can't wait to return. I ordered the short rib tacos! Beyond delicious! The drinks were incredible! One of the drinks I had was called It Takes Two to Mango. It was spicy and so yummy! And the bartender, Josh, was very pleasant! Thanks, Josh! Can't wait to return to Burban Kitchen! 🙌💯

We visited this restaurant. The ambiance is cute, casual, and has a modern environment. I particularly liked the open kitchen concept. We were seated right away on a Tuesday night, which was my third time there. My boyfriend was trying it out for the first time.

The service was a bit slow. I wasn’t sure if they were understaffed or if the waitress was new. We ordered the angry mussels and the braised short ribs. After 10 minutes, the waitress informed us that they were out of mussels, so we opted for shrimp instead.

I’m not sure why they didn’t know they were out of mussels and we had to wait 10 minutes after ordering. The food did take a while to arrive. There were about four seated couples and a few people at the bar.

I gave the service a mid-For rating and the food an excellent rating. Overall, it must have been a rough night for them since it was a Tuesday. The food was delicious, though.

I was here for work and I wanted to find a place that I could sit, have a drink, and enjoy good food. This place was it. Everything was good, the food, service, and the bartender was very friendly. Will definitely be coming back when I’m in town.

Food was good but service was super meh! It was mothers day, there really was no hip hip hooray about it being mothers day, which after always celebrating at home I was looking forward to a little flair but it felt like any other Sunday in the restaurant. I ordered mimosas for the table and they brought one glass. I guess there was an item on the menu that was mimosas for the table but I just said can we get mimosas so they only brought one glass. We let them know we had ordered for the whole table and they were apologetic, no biggie, but we had to ask a 3rd time to get enough for the whole table, and the server mentioned oh but you didn't say sparkling bottle something something. There was a good amount of people there but I would not say they were slammed. Eating out is expensive and that's ok, but at least they could try to earn their tip, which was automatically included at 20%. We will def try someplace else next year.

Great night out! Had the swordfish special & asked for a different sauce because I can't have red wine. They were happy to help & made an amazing herb sauce for me! It was delicious! Excellent service & fun atmosphere.

Fun, new restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Great service. Clean bathroom with dim lighting.
The appetizers were amazing!!!!!!! The pickled ginger with the ahi app was probably the most amazing I've ever tasted (I've tried a billion) and really really worked wonderfully in the dish. The Ahi and avocado on toast was so delicious, creamy and wonderfully seasoned. The charcuterie board was lovely and plentifully for the three of us to get a taste of everything without filing up before dinner.
The grilled salmon was cooked to perfection although the orzo was a bit too acidic for me, which is a shocker since I usually want more. There was a lot of fats in the orzo that I think they were trying to cut through, which also made it kinda heavy.
My companion raved about the burger and I stole a garlic fry and they were nice, especially with the house made ranch.
The seared Ahi entree was lovely as well. The ahi was fresh, tender and not over seared. The rice cake was flavorful and rich with umami and floral notes.

Super amazing food! I had the pork chop. It was perfectly cooked. And cocktails also very good. The service is on top of it. Even making sure the glasses are spot free.

Burban is a great spot for solid American cuisine. Really tasty food, great staff, and awesome bartenders. Nikia (maybe I spelled that wrong) and Franco are awesome- ask Franco to make you any number of custom drinks and you won’t be disappointed.

They now have a smaller bar menu that is really great if you want a small dinner. Brunch is great on the weekend, too!
