Carnitas El Rincon Chico is a restaurant in Chico. Food is pretty good especially considering the prices are all decent. Service is good. Inside is nice. The menu is not huge but what they offer is delicious. Customers try the Carnitas Plate for $14.99 and the Carnitas tacos for $3.49. The Carnitas Plate comes with tortillas on the side. The Carnitas taste good with nice flavor. Rice and beans have good flavor. The sauces are all good. Green salsa and orange salsa are recommended. Orange salsa is hot and makes your lips tingle a bit but fades quick. The green salsa is tasty too. The chicharrons are fresh, crunchy and still warm. They are an experience you need. The carnitas are moist and tender, not dry or tough. Beans and rice are very tasty, probably lots of lard in the beans. The place can be crowded, but service remains excellent. The air can be dry and smell like wet concrete, so a fan might help. Overall, the place is a new favorite in Chico and a good place.
