I'd never had carnitas before, but I decided to try some, and a girl with glasses gave me a taco with ribs, and it was the best taco of my life. The flavor was excellent, and the bone came out easily. So I took home ribs and meat. Now it's our new favorite place in Chico. Excellent service, even though it's crowded. The girl with glasses was very friendly and careful with my order. Green salsa is my recommendation. 👍🏻
Killer carnitas and off the hook chicharrons! Carnitas can be hit or miss from some places and often they are dry, but Carnitas el Rincon does it right! The carnitas were moist and tender, not dry or tough. Beans and rice were also cooked perfectly and very tasty (probably lots of lard in the beans because they so goooood). Carnitas, when prepared correctly, I like to think it surpasses most other meats. Considering that the preparation requires knowledge, or should I say, skills to pay the bills. All components are critical when thinking about it: fresh cilantro, for those inclined for chopped onions, a piece of lime, and vital component: salsa(s) 💃.
