Scrumptious, affordable, and plentiful. Absolutely can’t go wrong here given the staff are speedy, they accept phone orders, and have a good sized menu with plenty of options. There is limited indoor seating and minimal outdoor seating. They also have an assortment of canned and bottled drink options. Keep in mind there is no public restroom. Casual dining although take out is ideal.Vegetarian options: Excluding the side dishes and toppings on the poke bowls there is salmon, garlic shrimp, and more.Parking: Because the restaurant is located in a plaza with other businesses there is plenty of parking. A perk of the restaurant being big in take out means cars are in and out fast.Kid-friendliness: My children enjoy the bbq short ribs and the chicken katsu above everything else. Rice for them is a must and trying different drinks each trip keeps things interesting.
I got dinner from Halo Hawaiian for the first time last night, and I will likely not be back. They're open until 9:30pm, and when we walked in around 8pm they were extremely busy with a line of people as well as others coming in to pick up to-go orders. Good sign, right? For some reason, it seemed like they were doing closing procedures in the middle of this madness... 90 mins before they actually closed. All of the buckets of ingredients were pulled out of the display area and placed randomly across all of the counters. From a food safety perspective, this gave me the ick. Like, one of the employees was preparing a poke bowl and scooped poke from a container that was sitting open next to the register?? I envisioned Gordon Ramsey on Kitchen Nightmares screaming, "You're going to kill someone!" It just didn't look safe. Needless to say, I didn't order the poke. A few containers of toppings were empty and we were asked if we were ok skipping the item rather than the staff retrieving more from the back. The whole experience was odd... and after all that, the bowl was just ok.

Was ok but not good at all and not Hawaiian food so they are liars right off the bat. Plainest food ever had absolutely not one single spice or flavor at all! Gave me shredded pork and rice white washed bad BTW with no sauce or flavor of any kind whatsoever, most plainest food can buy. Don't go here unless like plain flavorless food that's not Hawaiian. Had to give it to my dog unfortunately, really disappointed.

Awesome food! Mainly a takeaway place. Popular with a lot of young people and always busy but food is fast -- never had to wait more than ~10min. Poke bowls are even faster, like Subway.Larger amount of food than we thought. Cooked fresh right in the back.Safe place. Gotten sick from a lot of places in Chico but never here!

Mmmmmm chicken catsu curry ?? with EXTRA curry sauce. Its delicious. My friends love the poke bowls there too, definitely something to give a try if you like seafood.
