Ikkyu Japanese Restaurant

This restaurant is wonderful. Im glad we stopped by. I didn't realize it was opened under new ownership. They had wonderful sushi and great service.

The food is absolutely delicious! I recommend everyone to try them out, the staff are so sweet and welcoming.

I ordered the udon and was able to get seafood added to it for only a few more extra dollars. Flavoring was so darn good, I'll definitely be back for more! ♡♡

Reading all the other reviews my wife and I were pretty excited to go in to eat. Waiter was very attentive and took our order pretty fast. The food started coming out and for appetizer we ordered the takoyaki and as we start biting we bite into a frozen piece of octopus which was very unpleasant. The waiter took the plate back and brought out our sushi rolls and they were pretty good but we also ordered a plate of sashimi that we unfortunately couldn't finish due to the fact that one of the slices had an odd smell and I started feeling sick afterwards.

Our hostess Thinzar was awesome!! She recommended a few of their specialty rolls and they did not disappoint!! This place is very nice and we had a wonderful evening thanks to Ikkyu! We will be back :)

Underrated spot. Probably the best bang for your buck rolls in Chico.
Off hours can get you a very quiet lunch or late dinner experience.

I ordered a ramen with no meat in it. It was supposed to have meat, green onion, seaweed, radish, mixed veggies and egg. It came with carrots and zucchini. I guess apparently when you ask for meat they leave everything out but the carrots and zucchini. When I asked about it she said only vegetables and walked away while i was asking why... so apparently seaweed, radish, and green onions aren't vegetables. I just asked no chicken, pork or beef.

The Chico Roll was fantastic! My Mother 's ramen bowl was HUGE! The tempura vegetables were perfect. (not too heavy or greasy) The service was timely and the food was brought out quickly.The atmosphere is more relaxed. The prices were on par with other sushi restaurants. I'd recommend them to anyone who used to frequent Japanese Blossom (it's in the same location) the dishes were all beautifully presented and everything tasted great!?

We had a great experience tonight! Service was quick, friendly and attentive. Sushi rolls were large, well priced, and delicious. If you like spicy tuna make sure you ask for it extra spicy. It was fairly mild (but still yummy!) Great night! The staff were friendly and attentive to my toddler which was so sweet to see. We will be back!

Kid-friendliness: They brought a booster seat over right when we came in. They served my daughters roll on a wooden plate instead of glass. They were very sweet and accommodating to her.

Ikkyu lived up to other reviews. The Sushi was fresh and visually appealing. There was a perfect blend of flavors, none over powering the others.
The atmosphere was great. Clean and Cozy. Service was great as well. Will definitely be back. So glad North Chico is getting some more nice restaurants!! Let's show our support!!
