Stopped in on a Saturday morning and had no trouble getting a booth immediately. The server was quick and friendly. The owner also came over and checked on us and introduced himself. Overall, it was a classic old-fashioned diner experience with good food and good portions.

My mother and I just love Jacks we live in Durham and of course the red rooster up herer is quite lovely are red rooster equivalent is Jack's hands down mom sticks to the burger and fries with coffee lol delicious not gross or greasy what so ever I'm not s burger person but damn these were fresh I get all of it waffles biscuits and gravy in sandwiches pasta u name it salads are crisp fresh and huge and did I mention the amazing service here well I'm going to mention it now let's just say that my mom is almost 80 she is frugal has an MF but the service is go freaking awesome here every time does at least 100 times we've gone my mom has always left a damn $10 tip even for a 2 person breakfast special roughly 20 bucks (,including our tea) still a 10 dollar tip no matter whos our server cuz they are all like family and treat us so good even the owner or manager not sure but the Hispanic fellow in his early 60s I'd say hes there like every single time we go and he always checks on us and he always says hello and he'll even come at the end of our meal and make sure everything was wonderful he practically even walks out the door and holds the door open . I over hear so many regulars in here they are like hey John same thing as always like there are some long time serious repeat guests here that's gotta tell u something I'll for sure post pics next time we go oh they close at 2pm. Why? Because they can afford to I'd say cuz they have such amazing food and staff they are rich AF probably
