This is the poorest excuse for a Mexican (or just about any type of restaurant) that I have had the misfortune to have dinner at! One would suppose that a Mexican restaurant would have Mexican beer for sale but they do not! They also don’t have anything else like a Margherita or wine. Having to stand in line to order food was the first clue about the place and having to wait for your name to be called was another. After I went up to get my food, I discovered that the burrito I ordered was covered in a tortilla that could double as shoe leather…I couldn’t cut it with the metal knives dispensed in the ordering line. The ingredients (pork, rice, beans and cheese were flavorless and downright boring! The so called salsa was nothing more than puréed tomatoes with a minor hint of spice. While this so-called restaurant may be inexpensive, it produces food that I (as an owner) would be embarrassed to serve. Needless to say we (as a group of 15) will never darken their doors again! Sad excuse for a Mexican restaurant. Take my advice and look for another Mexican restaurant in Chico!

The food is very good. It is mostly self service. They take your order and call your name. You get your drink and find a table. Very relaxed atmosphere. No frills, but the food is good.

Had another fantastic lunch yesterday. The food was great, as always and I was pleasantly surprised to see prices hadn't skyrocketed, like so many other places. Really makes me wish you had a restaurant in Redding.

I've been eating here for over 25 years. Back in the day when I could eat as if I had a bottomless pit for a stomach, I would order a super burrito with a side of rice and beans, and It would fill me up.
The portions have got progressively smaller over the years. The last time I ordered a super burrito with a side of rice, it looked like I ordered off the kids' menu. I'm over this place.
20 min wait just for a salad do not recommend unless you want to wait half hour for you food

We have been coming here for over 30 years recently we made a phone in order they told us it would be ready in 10 to 15 minutes we drove down there and it took them 30 to before they finally figured it out our order had been Sitting on the counter for 25 minutes after walking up to the counter and asking them 2 time if my order was ready no they said when it had been and getting cold when we got home everything we ordered was not there and gave us the wrong Item for one of the dinners it was all messed up didn’t eat, barely any of it totally Disappointed didn’t think we will be back any time soon.

I read the reviews before ordering so I felt confident that I would get exactly what was on the menu. I ordered my dinner to go. My first item was 2 item dinner. I ordered 1 cheese enchilada, 1 chicken tamale with the rice and beans, and salad. The cheese enchilada and Tamale were tough. The rice and beans were great. The salad was taco lettuce and dressing. When I was at the end of my meal there was paper on the bottom of the container which I didn't know about. I ate half of it because it was in the sauce.
I ordered the super burrito with chicken. All the items that were suppose to be inside were missing.
