If you are looking for artisanal drinks made with discerning attention to detail and a flavor profile to match, this is your place! Boris hands down makes the best coffee in Chico. I love the Turkish Coffee for his hand blended spices and rich, flavorful coffee with just the right amount of not-too-sweetness. If you are wanting a run of the mill experience with predictability and replicability as your key ingredients, this isn't it. I must confess, I drink copious amounts of coffee, have for decades, and Mockingbyrd is a stand out among coffee shops. There is a place for the grab-n-go coffees folks rely on for their daily grinds but the world is improved by art & Boris' coffees are just that. Experience what intention and craftsmanship are about, stop into Mockingbyrd.

Everything seemed fine until we took a sip of our iced coffee and it tasted like someone had ashed their cigarette in it. There was something so off about it, like a distinct flavor sending off alarms in my brain, so I made the choice to not drink it. As this was my first experience with this establishment, I can't speak for the other drinks, but steer clear of iced coffee.Also, I know the owner is going to read this and have something to say like he did to all the other bad reviews, so save us the trouble and take the humble road, and maybe just make a better batch of brew next time.

I just had “Thee Turkish” coffee and the honey Bourbon biscuit too and they were both absolutely incredible! The cardamom comes through beautifully in thee turkish and the biscuit has a delightful addition of bacon that compliments the sweet glaze on top. I’ve also had the espresso by itself and the flavor is absolutely superb. This is the best coffee I’ve had in chico, highly highly recommend!!!

The luminous latte has me totally hooked !!! I never would have imagined how amazing turmeric and coffee could be… delicious HOMEMADE flavours are phenomenal. Unlike almost all other coffee chains with generic syrup flavours. Give it a try! Also love the coffee truck concept. Perfection.

Mockingbyrd coffee is the best! Boris’s business makes quality, unique drinks. I love it that he has different locations with his coffee trailer. You also get the bonus of meeting other coffee drinkers. ☕️❤️

Not great coffee. The cups were small. The shots must have been pulled much earlier and tasted stale. The finished drinks were barely lukewarm. As a bonus, the person making the coffee had a cold and was sniffling the whole time while prepping the drinks.

I’m an unapologetic coffee snob and I think their coffee is great. A rich smooth dark roast with creative additions and Boris is super nice too. It’s my Wednesday morning treat.

Hands down, best coffee! Boris is a talented master blender, he roasts and blends his own beans and graced my day today with his Rwanda-Honduras blend.
