Hubby, toddler, and I went for the first time. The chef was very engaging and fun to see. However food was okay. Chicken was overcooked and dry and rice was heavily salted. It was definitely a fun experience. I just wish our food hadn't been so salty lol. Sushi was phenomenal!!!! When we went it was a empty which was nice. The chef was very engaged with our toddler which she absolutely loved. It's a decently priced place. Along with our sushi, 2 hibachi dinners, and one kids hibachi dinner we spent a little over 100. For it being so empty it would have been nice if our waitress had come by a bit more often for drink refills.

Came on Sunday 2/25 afternoon around 3 PM. Restaurant was dead with only 2 other tables, one finished right after we got sat. Just one server& one sushi chefTook 10 minutes to get a drink order in (2 waters, 1 hot tea), then 10 more minutes to get them. Ordered gyoza, edamame, orange blossom roll, Chico roll deep fried, and a spicy scallop hand roll. The gyoza were really good, edamame were extremely salty but still good. The orange blossom roll was bland and tasteless even though it said it had spicy tuna in it.Spicy scallop hand roll was mostly sushi rice, cucumber, tobiko and mayonnaise and had no flavor at all. Was not spicy in the slightest.Ordered some to-go food nearing the end of our meal, had to wait an extra 20-25 minutes for it. (A side of teriyaki chicken, a monster roll, and edamame.)Had to keep asking the server for the same things multiple times. Never got refills of water, took about 30-35 minutes after ordering to get the food. She was nice, but not very attentive and didn’t seem to really care.By the time we left, it had been over an hour since being initially sat and the ONE other couple that came in after us got their food, ate it, and left before we got our to-go order. The bill was over $100 for some of the wackest sushi I’ve ever had.Would not recommend this place to anybody. If you want quality sushi and basic service, probably best to look elsewhere.

Food isn't great...Eel and Tako is awesome but mom had steamed rice and she tasted dirt or mildew (mold) in the rice...she almost got sick to her stomach. Little new york steak was a joke, very little portions...very expensive place for terrible food!! Waitresses are awesome and very understanding!! Also the chef wasn't into cooking for us, like he was tired or he didn't want to be there...not entertaining....won't be back!!

Good service excellent fresh sushi. Dragon roll is excellent. I haven't had any of their table. Top service only sushi my top honors for that dish. Whatever you get that has to do with fresh fish or cook. Fish is excellent. Toni will treat you well.

Come here on valentines day and had a bit of a wait. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive to our table. Overall, the food was delicious and came faster than expected. Expect to spend quite a bit of money as well.

Walk in for dinner on V-Day was a 45 minute wait -- not bad at all! It ended up being less than that. The hostesses and servers were amazing even when there were a couple of sassy customers. Food came out fast and it was delicious. The water could use some work. Maybe the restaurant could add some music it was pretty quiet in there, but it was still nice. Highly recommend the salmon crunchy and the caterpillar rolls.

Wife's birthday, and She wanted to try a new restaurant. Enter Ojiya Japanese Steakhouse. Absolutely NO wait to be seated, and the waitstaff were friendly and attentive. After perusing the menu, we decided to try a little bit of everything...little did we know about the portion sizes. Our order covered the entire table with little room to spare. We ordered the Poke salad, 2 Bento Boxes, both with Beef Teriyaki-1 with Katsu chicken and 1 with a Spicy Tuna roll, Walnut Shrimp, then 4 rolls... Chico Roll, Hot Night roll, Alaska roll, and the Monster roll. To say that it was overkill on our part was an understatement, as there was TOO MUCH food to eat. The cooks outdid themselves as everything was fresh, tightly rolled, and extremely flavorful. The Bento box alone was a meal worthy of trying, but the added food was just too much to finish. The rolls were extremely huge and didn't scrimp on the ingredients. All were decorated and prepared properly, and each was bursting with flavor. Was it worth the experience...YES. Was there more than enough food... YES. Will we be going back...Definitely, but maybe to try the personal cooking experience seated at a grill. Do not pass Ojiya by... stop in and enjoy the dining, you won't be disappointed!

The Hibachi chef was the highlight of our visit. He was entertaining and funny plus made us some yummy food. We had Hibachi Steak and Shrimp and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The portions are good and we definitely left full. We paid extra to have fried rice instead of steamed rice and that just added to both the enjoyment of the meal and the entertainment. It was a fun and tasty meal and we look forward returning.
