The food here is very flavorful and, according to at least one person I know who is from South Korea, captures the essence of this type of food pretty well. While I'm largely unfamiliar with the various dishes, after coming here twice I can say that the two I got were delicious. I like all the appetizers and sides they bring, which is evidently a major part of Korean dining. There are a variery of pickled vegetables that seem to go great with everything else they serve. This is a full-service restaurant, so adter you order at the counter they bring your food out to your table in courses and clean up when you leave. I'll be eating here again.

I can’t recommend this place enough! It might seem pricey at first, but that’s because you haven’t experienced the quality of the food yet. Really decent portion too. I asked if it was possible to order a side of my favorite vegetable and they said it wasn’t. but they were sweet enough to add a little extra on the side anyway. The service was so amazing! The atmosphere is also really nice, it’s awesome sitting by the window and the music is calm. Very clean also.

Something is terribly wrong seeing a few reviews on Yelp for Oshio. It is truly misinterpretation to our experience. Oshio truly represents the hard working family making things like how my mom made at home. Food taste indicates that they made it in house, not pre-made Americanized items. Owners are totally hands-on to the business all the way. I also like how clean it is. It is really hard to keep a restaurant place very clean, when there are so many footsteps. I truly appreciate this business. Thank you so much, OSHIO!I just truly wish that all the customers would understand what it takes to keep a business in this way today.
Went here for my birthday with my family, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was fast and tasted great, plus they even had several vegetarian options. I think it's safe to say we'll be back.

Came here looking for some good tofu soup and sizzling beef plate, was happy that this place is good considering it's the only Korean spot in Chico. When I ordered the tofu soup they didn't ask me how spicy I wanted it, but luckily it comes as medium spicy compared to other places which is my preference. The banchan all comes on one big plate which I've never seen before, but everything tasted good w traditional flavors. Seems brave in a good way to serve stuff like seaweed and pickled turnips to customers around here.Unfortunately this place does not have a tofu + sizzling plate combo like most traditional places that sell these dishes, everything is sold separately. I think combo plates would add value to customers and give a reason to come more often.

We’ve eaten here several times and it is always delicious. Food is flavorful, soothing and nourishing. I recommend the Bibimbap (rice with veggies, egg, meat of choice, spicy sauce and side dishes) if you’re new to Korean food. We’ve tried the japchae, bulgogi, and sundubu as well and all have been excellent. Great portions and tasty complimentary side dishes with the entrees leaves you extra satisfied. Yummm!Dietary restrictions: Great for gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian/vegan options!
