Excellent amount fish and chips with lots of platter options. Waiter was pleasant enough, helpful, and not bothersome while eating.Not a bright atmosphere. Probably best for mature people or intimate situation. Most customers looked older.Price is really high. Feels like a diner with fancy restaurant prices.

It’s a great menu for seafood that you can’t find anywhere else in town, and consistently good. I learned today, though, that they no longer have full-belly fried clams (only strips). So instead I asked for fried scallops, wanting to know first if they are sea scallops and not the puny bay ones. Person who took my order confirmed they are sea scallops, and that there’d be 9 or 10 in my order. I was a bit surprised to find that not only was it more like six or seven at the most, but the scallops were flat, as if each one was cut in half into small disks, then fried. The food here is always very good, just the scallop dish was a bit deceiving, and for $20, a bit pricey for half a dozen half scallops.

Had the fish and chips, excellent fish, hot and served promptly. They have options for 2, 3, 4 pieces of cod. I had the 2 pieces, and the size was generous. Only order more if you're really hungry or you want to share. Chips were hot, which is a big plus in my book. Came with Coleslaw, which was OK. The sauce was a bit watery, which means it pools on the bottom of the little cup they give you. It's not a big deal, but make sure you stir it up a bit. Service is fine, I'd recommend this place.

Excellent fish, chips, and clam chowder! The prawns and coleslaw are great as well.
We have always enjoyed Pelicans Roost Chowder House. We miss it being in Paradise. There is a "NEW" chowder place in Paradise, and I give you fair warning. If you eat at the Blue Lagoon in Paradise the food is bought at Grocery Outlet , canned chowder , frozen shrimp, and frozen bread. All heated up and served at $15 to $25 a meal. "A REAL DISAPPOINTMENT". Pelicans Roost is "AWSOME" ! Thank you Pelicans Roost for being a great quality chowder house.
