Roots catered our daughter’s wedding this past weekend. The food was excellent, our guests raved about it. I found Kelly great to work with. I was so pleased at the professionalism of the staff, the display and quality of the food. I would absolutely use Roots Catering again - they are top notch!!

We had Roots cater an Executive luncheon recently, and they are amazing. Last minute changes - on time delivery- no big deal. Kelly is a wonderful.The food was fresh and tasty. Organized and professional. Would definitelyrecommend Roots!!

Kelly and the staff at Roots catered for my daughter's wedding reception this weekend. There are so many things I appreciated about them. 1) Delicious food that is not just the every day catered event food. They came up with suggestions that were seasonal and local and our guests raved about (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian). 2) Super helpful and easy to work with. They even baked an ethnic cake. Kelly tested the recipe in advance and did a wonderful job. 3) Flexible and ready to adapt to changes without getting flustered. Due to the storm we had to change the venue at the last minute. The new, indoors location had a much smaller kitchen and they still made it work, and work beautifully! I can not recommend highly enough!

I am extremely disappointed in the roots catering.They did not serve the cake. I had 4 different flavors and they only cut one tier at a time plus I had sheet cakes of all different flavors. Kelly said most brides don’t want all the sheets cut because they like to donate whole sheets. Excuse me Kelly I didn’t have 4 different flavors for them not to be cut and offered. Many guest did not get cake because often they were waiting for a different flavor. My guest told me they said no I don’t want lemon that they wanted carrot and the server never came back. They were told to tray serve its in an email that I reproduced for Kelly. They did not use a tray they had like 2 plates up the arms. It’s Covid kelly you don’t put plates up your arms plus I have 4 flavors. She also took the cake to the back instead of cutting on a table right in front. People were looking for cake. If you were sitting close to the kitchen you got cake if you were not like my table you did not. She said people refused it they were full another lie, they were looking for it. I said kelly you tray serve then you leave it out it’s a wedding people are dancing and visiting. I should not have to write everything down for you it’s common sense. The pieces were tiny I had tons of cake left over. I actually told people to come get cake the next day. Kelly said we normally do a cake bar I said then why didn’t you suggest it? Plus you saw all the leftover cake and did not set it out. She also cut the top tier. I said kelly who ever cuts the top tier. She said nobody saves them anymore. I said I’m not everyone. Then she blamed the wedding planner. The food was good but not nearly as good as our taste test. Plus, she stole all our leftovers which apparently they are known to do.We told her we wanted them and I had containers.We called immediately when we couldn’t find the food she said there weren’t any left overs Another lieWe had at least 10 people not show. She said people went for seconds. No one went for seconds. Not even salad or bread left? My brother in law saw them load up the leftovers. Plus my tins also were gone.The servers kept taking people’s drinks as well with a drink in them. It’s like she just wanted to get her job done as quickly as possible and leave. She also tried to blame the wedding planner saying she bused the tables. The wedding planner didn’t bus tables but the wedding planner should have caught the cake screw up. Family also said it was the servers taking the drinks.I would not use them plus no ownership when you have really messed up. She should have said I am so sorry how can I compensate you.

I meet with friends this lovely place many times a year! This is my favorite place to grab a bite. I go there frequently. The meals are very tasty, the workers are courteous and the cost is reasonable. I enjoy going in this spot for a good dinner.

Roots is always above superb, but the service slid a little on this trip. Charged extra for milk when my sister didn't want (free) cream for coffee, had to ask for flatware, likewise for refills, and it just went on and on the little annoyances. I'm guessing it was a new hire... who will probably become just as impeccably proficient as every other server we have ever had there in the past.

I meet with friends this lovely place many times a year! This is my favorite place to grab a bite. I go there frequently. The meals are very tasty, the workers are courteous and the cost is reasonable. I enjoy going in this spot for a good dinner.
