I come here when I have a booth at the Thursday Night Market and they are always ready to get you the drink you want and the snack you need. It can get hot during the market and having this location open is great.
It is a nice location, wheelchair accessible entrance, it is a very expansive entrance ramp. It is kept clean, well lit, no matter how busy it is the staff are always on top of the orders and will give you the proper estimation of wait time before you order.
Definitely will keep coming back.

I ordered a black tea and there were no other customers. It took 4 people to figure out how to make a hot tea. When one of the baristas asked the others if it was made already, they all shrugged. That barista should be the manager since she's the only one who clearly cared about customer service. Will definitely not be coming back.

Honestly, it’s always a mix whether my drinks taste good or not my peppermint mocha today was like 10 out of 10, but my apple crisp frap yesterday was like a 5 out of 10, they made the drink without whip cream which it’s supposed to have, had to ask for it on top and then they didn’t even do the sprinkles either and the syrup all separated and was already fallen to the bottom when I picked it up like 5 mins after it said it was done on the app. Not worth it in my opinion. You never know whether you get high quality drink or one where you take 2 sips and don’t finish it.

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION IF YOU HAVE ANY KIND OF DIETARY RESTRICTION BECAUSE THEY WILL MAKE YOUR ORDER WRONG AND NOT CARE!!! I am a regular customer at this Starbucks location and I’m VERY disappointed by my experience with them. I am dairy free due to an allergy so I always order my drinks with no whip and coconut milk. When I arrived I noticed my order has whip cream on it. I politely said to the worker “hey I’m so sorry to be difficult but I need you to please remake this order because it has whip on it and I can’t confirm that it’s made with non dairy milk. This is due to an allergy not preference otherwise I’d just take it.” She rudely says “I can just scrape off the whip”. I replied again the same thing I had already told her “like I said this is due to an allergy so I need you to remake it. It’s not as simple as scraping the whip off.” Said says (with a rude tone): “okay well you are going to have to get back in line then (there was about 8 other people in line now)” so I (still politely) say: “I did mobile order for a reason, I’m on my way to work and can’t wait in that line. In this case I’d like a refund since I can’t drink this drink due to a mistake you made and won’t correct”. She says “well I can’t do that”. So I then say “in that case I’d like to speak to your manager now please.” I then am about to speak to the manager and explain the situation when she rudely says to me “I saw her use coconut milk so we can just scrape off the whip” so I then repeat to her what I already told the other worker: “this is due to an allergy not a preference so I’m going to either need a refund or my order remade in a timely manor. Because I asked for no whip and whip was put on it how can I trust that there’s coconut milk milk in there? Exactly I can’t so please if I could get a refund now I’d appreciate it.” And the manager had the audacity to say to me “ok. Sorry you aren’t getting your sweet treat before work”. They were so rude and condescending throughout the whole transaction all because they made a mistake and were too lazy to fix it.

This is a Starbucks. The real reason this is 5 stars is the location! There is a large window that overlooks downtown and the people watching is spectacular. Sometimes you get a magician, sometimes homeless people scoping bicycles, mostly it's the fine people of Chico window shopping and Chico State students taking in the city. I highly recommend this place for Thursday night markets.

It’s just a Starbucks. I’ve been to many of these in Hong Kong, US and Hawaii. This is the best. That includes the flagship in Seattle, which was my hangout 1991-1993!
Parking: Parking in downtown Chico is a disaster. New meters suck, the App is fussy to install, etc.Each time I go I see frustrated citizens of the once- vital downtown, struggling. Especially the older ones. Who built this city on rock and roll.
