Pleasantly surprised to find the substation open again. I'm a little behind the curve I know lol.I ordered the calabrese and the hot pastrami for me and my wife and they were some of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. Also got the clam chowder and I couldn't be happier.Good quality sandwiches and fair prices. We will be returning again very soon.
I used to go here at their old location when I was in college. The new location is more commercial. I do miss the more chico charm feel. However, sandwiches still on point and delicious! Was busy in there but they still got the food out quick! Great service. In the past every time I went in the owner (I think his name is mike?) was working. So kinda sad not to see him, but he deserves a break after all his hard work and commitment!
I have not tasted a single hot pastrami sub that lives up to the one they consistently deliver at Sub Station since my first visit many years ago. Also, a very friendly place, rendering it, an all around pleasant experience for dining, or takeout.
