Loved the food. It was a bit dark and the music was a bit loud for a Thursday night in a mostly empty bar, but once the DJ came in it was better. I didn't get a photo of our food but it's the best fish & chips I've had in the Chico area in the 10 months I've been looking for a fish & chips place. My husband had the naked pepper wings and loved them. Will be back again to try more foods and maybe dance next time :)

I have always heard alot about this place around town but never gave it a try. The name reminds me of something to due with Fishing, not sure if that's on purpose or not but hey I find it to be pretty unique. Apparently they have everything from Midget Wrestling to Sean Kingston concerts. Anyways, I can't comment on any of those wild and crazy events but what I can comment on is the food that i ordered through DoorDash! I've been super busy so I haven't had the chance to leave a review but I placed this order on August 15th around 10am. I ordered the Tri Tip Sandwich and the French Dip both with Gouda. The food arrived and I was happy with my order. Nothing over the top but definitely nothing bad, that's for sure. I'd like to stop in sometime and then i'd be able to say more about this establishment but thank you guys for a delicious lunch last month! I appreciate it!

Tacklebox has really good bar food. Especially the Garlic fries. Bands generally on Friday and Saturday nights. Big dance floor just wish they didn't allow drinks on it and would give it a good waxing.

Had breakfast and it was amazing! Fresh gravy and biscuits! So much flavor and wasn't from a package which is wonderful- chicken fried steak was great too and we shared both and it was plenty of food. Can't wait to try some other stuff there!

When I visit the Chico office for my company and buy them food, they always request it from this place. Killer burritos and catering. We just had them do catering for 30 people and theChicken and brisket were on point and everyone was happy. The staff and the food are top notch.

If you want a low key Honkey Tonk vibe then this place is your Jam. Pizza, Wings were good, drinks were cheap.

Had a great time watching this band at the tackle box. Tacklebox had plenty of room to dance easy access to bar and not long wait for drinks. I would come back and see other bands there because it was easy to get in and easy to get out and the staff was friendly.

Just ordered $43.00 worth of food and it was s**** came cold and greasy, couldn't even eat it! So irritated!
i ordered a cheeseburger, just a regular cheeseburger and on the day i went in there happened to be a 3 for 1 deal which was amazing considering one cheeseburger is like $13 but when i received my food i received 3 DOUBLE cheeseburgers. i know it seems exciting for other people but for me i don't eat much meat because it's overwhelming for me but i was craving burgers and yeah i could've just taken a patty off but the cheese was melted everywhere not only on the burger but all over the inside of the box which made it so much harder just to PICK UP the burger. so food quality was pretty good but wasn't presentable and was way too messy and much much over priced.

I understand it's a bar and grill but it's definitely frustrating wanting to grab some grub, but having to wait 15 minutes in line behind people waiting to get in for the bar. They're carding people no matter what, so I was essentially turned away from getting food because I didn't have my DL on me, because I didn't anticipate needing it to order some fish and chips. I recommend for the food, but I really wish they'd find a better alternative for the other people who come there just to eat. PS you have to walk all the way around the back, and pay to get in to even order said food. That's also where the line is. 2 stars. Good food, but too much hassle to even get in and customer service wasn't the nicest given all the other inconveniences that came with trying to eat here.

Loved the bartender today he was the best but sadly the food was not good. Came for breakfast and was shamed by so old crotchety dude for feeding the dog. So sorry for feeding him didn't know I wasn't supposed to but would have been nice not to be called out in front of the entire bar for doing so. Will NEVER go back there. Do not shame your paying customers. Dog walks around I literally gave him one piece of my scrambled egg and the guy told me the dog wouldn't be fed for three days! Poor dog. Not his fault mine sorry for feeding the dog!!
