We walked into the new location of Taj Indian resto, at the corner of West 2nd Street and Cedar, and were greeted by two super helpful guys. We arrived home with our dinners to find that the dishes were amazing: we had the entrée-plus-rice of chicken tikka masala, curry chicken, and chili chicken—each delicious, the chili chicken with a definite kick—and the dal makhani as an extra entrée only. The manager said that the naan we ordered was modified as his favorite—onion plus some other terrific ingredients. We’ve spent a lot of time in India, even living there for about a year, and are so happy to have Taj to go to when New Delhi is out of reach. Highly recommended.

I've been to the Nord Ave location many times. Tonight we tried the newer location on 2nd and Cedar. As with the other location, the food was great. I often order the Lamb, and it's always been delicious and tender. Their balancing of the spices in every dish is always superb. What keeps me coming back is not only the excellent food, it's how wonderfully kind and generous all of the people working there have treated us !Vegetarian options: I eat here with a vegan friend who loves the food !
