I found The Foodie Cafe while looking for places in the area that have monte cristo sandwiches, my mom's favorite. We haven't found any that dip the whole sandwich, but my mom said that The Foodie Cafe's donut monte cristo was the best she's had of all of the monte cristos in Chico. She appreciated that there wasn't a weird sauce on it, like the one at Cheesecake Factory, and said that the donut gave it the same vibe as the whole thing being dipped in batter rather than just a sandwich on French toast. We both enjoyed the fresh fruit that came with our food.

We stopped by this cute brunch spot and enjoyed the best pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had. We also got the dodo bird which was good, and the fried tot rockets were pretty good as well. The cheese skirt they come on was delightful! The service was great and the atmosphere had such a cool vibe. The bloody Mary’s could use some spices and a bit more mix but overall happy with our choices.

This place is such a great addition to Chico! We don’t have a lot of good food spots here, but this one tops any place I’ve been to in Chico. Such a good variety of food and great twists to already known traditional items you see everyday. I ordered a turkey club sandwich and it came on a croissant. I was so weirded out at first but ended up scarfing the whole thing down. I wish I knew about this place sooner.
