The Rawbar Restaurant & Sushi

A hidden gem in the center of town. Outdoor and indoor seating. A wonderful selection of bevages to include cold or hot sake (filtered & unfiltered). The sushi rolls are generous in size and all are Very Delicious, with a perfect pairing of sauces! A perfect setting for solo, couples, or groups. Did I mention that the sushi rolls are special enough to highlight again? Yummy! 😋😋

I just have to say I ate here a while back and a piece of sushi I bit into had mold on the seaweed on it. I could taste the flavor of mold so bad but was on a first date and had no where to spit it out so I just had to try to swallow it down without gagging. I couldn't get that distinct taste of mold out of my mouth after that and was totally disgusted. I was told this was a nice place. I'm thinking they hydrate their seaweed and don't throw away the unused pieces at the end of the night. It's been a while so hopefully they've improved.

Really good sushi and other dishes. Plus, they have sushi lessons and a good bar and outdoor seating. The servers are consistently professional and friendly.

This place had great reviews in Chico and they were right! Beautiful and sleek inside and out!

I love suishi and I ordered the Red dragon because it was spicy! YUM!
My boyfriend had the California roll which he enjoyed. BEST was the baby back ribs! YES...their ribs melted right off the bone in a slightly sticky and awesome concoction! Beautiful presentation on all dishes!

We also had a glass of wine and a local IPA.

They have an extended area that also serves hard alcohol along with beer..wine..sake and specialty drinks.

We got there when they opened at 1130am and it was nice and cool inside! They also have outdoor seating that is shaded!

It was a Great experience! Thank you Regan and the two awesome suishi chefs...Charlie ( cute petite gal) and Syrjah (i didn't spell his name right..awesome man bun.). Professional and friendly and show pride in what they do!

Love the location because it's walking distance to shops!

I will be back! 5 star service...classy yet unpretentious and relaxing!

Last night was the fifth of my last five wedding anniversaries that we spent eating at the Rawbar Restaurant. The recent expansion was done in a phenomenal way to provide two different dining experiences whereas the new “”lounge with about 10 doubles is really nice for an intimate dining experience. As for the food, OMG! Flavors you recognize but don’t typically prepare, awesome sushi and sashimi. I am partial to simple dishes like a Gilroy roll, California roll and the like. These were on the menu deep fried and again, OMG! The staff was awesome, and management has adapted to a much larger capacity with minimal, if any, disruption in service. Aside from frequent drop ins to the Rawbar, I have plans already to keep the tradition on our anniversary. See you on #39 on Sept, 6, 2026!

Not much to say except they have good rolls and sashimi. Portions are small- I ate $50 worth of sushi and it wasn't as filling as other places for the same price. But what can you do if this is the only sushi you can get?

Came here for a nice night out. Recommend calling for reservations this place was packed on a Saturday night. That being said the service was amazing and the food still came out fast and pretty delicious. Tried multiple rolls. All had great flavors. Would go back.

The only thing I must ask for, is better options for soy sauce. Its way too salty and not healthy. Please purchase Amino Acids like Braggs.

Reasonably priced fresh and delicious food, friendly servers, and lively atmosphere.

Dry aged sushi was incredible. Great chefs at the sushi bar really cater to your preferences. All around excellent.

Please never take the fried bananas and the chocolate bread pudding off of your menu! You've really stepped up your dessert game!
