My husband and I went for the first time after we got married on Sunday July 7th. He got the birria and I got the carnitas. I was honestly surprised first by how nicely they were plated, and secondly by how flavorful it was. It reminded me of my Abuelita Perez's food. Stunning. I can't wait to go back. For those that may want to know the salsa is a bit spicy, but not overly so. Nothing on the menu is hot/spicy, they will give you a spicy sauce if you want more heat. And that sauce is also flavorful. Highly recommend giving lovely little restaurant a try, you won't regret it.

I took my mother here so we could try somewhere we've never been. If I lived in Chico, this place would be one of my hangouts. Wonderful food. My mothers' favorite has been chili relleno, and she wasn't disappointed. It was different than any other, she said, but liked it a lot. Carrot cake was awesome as well!

I Tried this place for the first time and was not disappointed. The food was delicious and authentic. I liked there chips and salsa and the carnitas had great flavor. I did wish they had a hotter salsa than the red enchilada like kind of sauce. The staff was very friendly, I will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely sublime I haven't tasted such quality Mexican food for as long as I can remember. My husband almost cried his food was so good lol ?? Not to mention the exceptional service! Our food was ready not 10 minutes after ordering, and it was such high quality. I don't think Chico has another Mexican restaurant of the same caliber! overall good experienceprices (from left to right) - $19, $19, $61st plate - Mole Trés Marias was very flavorful and the chicken was falling apart at the touch. very good, however the sauce was a little watery, but overall good. most memorable dish that we ordered.2nd plate- La Birria was a little disappointing, portion was a little small for the price, flavor wise was decent. the sauces were decent. nothing too outatanding3rd plate- Quesabirria was a little cold and so was its caldo. needed a bit more cheese but was pretty good.Service was amazing!
Super delicious, fresh food with good portion size for burrito! Got the vegetarian burrito with the green sauce and it was one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. It felt less greasy than most Mexican food. The chips and salsa to start were a bonus. Friendly service, nice interior - I highly recommend giving this place a try!
