Erika was the best waitress for our birthday brunch this morning!
The atmosphere is very nice and welcoming. Our server was super sweet. The espresso martinis from here are extremely good. I think the best I’ve had in Chico. The menu has quite a few options on it with a surprising amount of really tasty, healthy options. We got the salmon and it was extremely good. The crème brûlée is also a stand out. At the end of the evening, we forgot our to go box of food and our server came running out to the car to bring it to us. Will definitely be back very soon.
This was my first time here and I was very excited to go. It was a sunday morning at 11:00. There wasn't alot of people and we were seated outside. I went with a small group of friends. The waitress seemed nice at first but at the end when it came time to pay we asked if we could split and we were told it was ok but she was very rude about it. There was only 5 of us. The rest of that interaction was super awkward and we were all offended by her attitude towards us. I don't know the servers name but she was middle aged and had freckles. I felt bad for not tipping but why should I tip a rude waitress. The rest of the group tipped her poorly cause they didn't have the courage to not tip like me. I get it they didn't want to be rude and have another confrontation with her. Tipping is optional people, remember that. She would've gotten a great one too. Sorry I'm not going to come back again. She made me so uncomfortable. It seems like from other reviews people have also had problems with the waiters and waitresses.
Birthday dinner!!!!
Great food, especially brunch. Good service. Food always seems to be cold when it's served which is a bummer. But overall one of my fave places.
Normally love Unwined. Today seemed to be off. They were out of several items, and the staff seemed more concentrated on closing 30 minutes early, than checking in with customers. If they were short handed, they did not let us know. I hope it was an off day.
Probably wouldn’t go again, I used to be an advid goer of unwined . But recently the food has gone downhill. It doesn’t feel as big portions or as flavorful as it used to be. Plus the prices has increased . It just doesn’t feel worth it anymore .
Pros: Environment was nice and welcoming. Waitress answered questions and smiled.
Food presentation looked great.
Cons: Food was spicy; even after I asked our waitress several times; if the dish had any spice. I had two other people with me who had the same issue. I understand each persons spice tolerance is different; however I found a Jalapeños in my eggs and my Husband had Jalapeños on his sandwich. We were unable to eat our food and ended up paying for a meal we didn’t eat.
Unwind is an amazing restaurant and is my favorite place for Sunday brunch. My husband and I dined there this morning with my sister and brother-in-law to celebrate my birthday belatedly. I usually order the Eggs Benedict, but opted to order the Belgian Waffle for a change. There were 3 small, delicious waffles topped with strawberries and blueberries, whipped cream, and maple syrup. Absolutely yummy! We also enjoyed a glass of champagne with our brunch. We discovered that today was Frank's birthday (5/4), and we had a delightful visit with him when he stopped by our table. We also enjoyed a wonderful visit with Melinda when she stopped by to greet us. The owners are always welcoming and friendly, and it's always a bonus when they take time to be personable despite being busy making sure all of their customers enjoy a delightful dining experience. Unwind is a favorite restaurant for celebrating special occasions and for everyday dining as well!
I took my children and their significant others here for dinner. The food was mediocre, so was our service. Upon leaving and already out the door, the waiter comes running after us. First off we were shocked like he thought we didn't pay our bill. He said quote, was there something wrong with my service? We were totally confused, we said no, everything was fine. He said quote, why didn't you leave me a tip? We were not only shocked but confused because we left a generous tip on the table. We told him this, he didn't apologize but turn and went back inside. The whole incident was on display for not only everyone in the restaurant but in the parking lot as well. Embarrassing, I will never, ever eat there again.

I've honestly never had food that was worth the money either in portions or flavor. The coffee I had was good and the home made whipped cream on my pancake but nothing else. overrated for sure.
The worse ever yuck
