I’ve stopped into the UC for lunch or bakery items from their case but I suddenly needed a birthday cake for the day after Christmas. On the Tuesday before I called the Upper Crust to see if 1- they were open 12/26 and 2- if I could place an order. I can’t describe how happy and relieved I was when the employee accepted my order! She was very friendly and helpful. She made suggestions about which chocolate cake sounded like it met my needs. She also accommodated my request for a raspberry filling. (A special order cake accepted the week of Christmas for 12/26??? YAY! That made my year!). It was beautiful, decadent and delicious. The frosting was smooth and creamy with a high quality chocolate flavor. The cake was moist with a delicious tender crumb. There was a perfect amount of raspberry filling. The cheerful decoration ( pretty piping with confetti sprinkles) made my family member tearfully happy. Thank you Upper Crust!

Extremely disappointing! The Snickerdoodle cookie was the WORST I've ever had, and by far the WORST cookie I've ever paid for (let alone the amount of $). I'd gotten a Lemon Sugar cookie as well, and although it was better, it was still horrible and inedible. Both were HARD, crumbly, and bland.
I ordered a cake for a family get together, and now I'm dreading it being just as awful.

Gave me food poisoning. I had the chile and a berry smoothie and immediately after I got a stomach ache and later that night I threw up multiple times after being nauseas for the whole day since eating it

Absolutely love this bakery. We have purchased many cakes from here over the years. The service is always wonderful and the product is even more delicious. Recently I turned 40 and had a Gilmore girls themed birthday party and they came in clutch with a chocolate espresso cake that was so delicious. We got so many comments at the party on how good it was. Thank you uppercrust for serving our community and for being a much needed staple for all of our celebrations as well as when we just need to get our pastry fix!

For as long as I've lived in Chico upper crust has delivered perfect product. Beyond friendly service and super casual friendly atmosphere. The most appetizing food downtown. From their spinach quiche to their cupcakes, in my opinion flawless 😋

Overpriced. Open early at 6:30 am, good coffee, a pretty uninspiring $12.50 bacon egg and cheese. A Large Coffee and Bacon egg and cheese English muffin cost $19.67

Great experience in getting to know whom is hip and into rock n roll concertes. There is some seriously good talent in town and these workers could steer you to some good music. It was packed in crowd but we managed to etch out some seats. Friendly open customers whom were fun to engage.

We got our wedding cake from upper crust and it was delicious! We got a 3 tier cake and sheet cakes to serve guests. We did 3 flavors - we couldn’t pick a favorite! I look forward to our 1 year anniversary where I will re order a mini version of our cake so we can taste all the deliciousness again! Thank you upper crust!!
