With the exception of Dahi Vada rest of the snacks and hot food from the Cafe is below standard. They can definitely get some tips from Jay Bharat and Surti Farsan

This is a self served eatery operated by the BAPS temple. We visited it on Memorial Day for lunch and the place was pretty crowded. The food here was mostly different than the dishes from your local Indian restaurants. Most items were unrecognizable to me (due to my own lack of knowledge). The Punjabi samosas were pretty good. All dishes were vegetarian (I believe) and spicy. Once paid, we ate at its outdoor dinning area with a nice cool California breeze.

Great food stop along the way to LA from Phoenix . Picked up lots of food for the next few days - very economical and food tastes like what we get back home

We have been regular visitors of this cafe but the constant money minded expansion of this cafe has deteriorated the quality and ingredients quality over the time. Which directly reflects in taste and also after effects in the stomach.

They started using more and more plastic for packing all Hot 🔥 Food

They started putting more and more sugar in all sweets.

Using palm and canola oils in all snack items.

I hope they realise and correct this soon and start thinking for people' s health, not just their bank balance.

We finally got to visit this temple, and the experience was wonderful. However, the cafe was disappointing. The menu is limited, and both the thali and chole bhature were underwhelming. Served in to-go boxes, the thali portions were small and bland, and the chole was too sweet with oily, puri-like bhature.

The redeeming feature of the cafe is its shop with packaged snacks and sweets, which was a nice addition.

We had the opportunity to have lunch at the BAPS Shayona cafe in LA, and it was a wonderful experience.

The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, including flavorful curries and delicious snacks like samosas and kachoris. The ambiance is clean and inviting, making it a comfortable place for casual dining or a quick meal. The staff is friendly and efficient, ensuring prompt service.

The cafe also has a small grocery section with Indian snacks and spices, which is a nice bonus. Overall, BAPS Shayona Cafe comes highly recommended for anyone craving tasty vegetarian Indian food in a pleasant setting.

Dietary restrictions: They provide food without onions and garlic.

Kid-friendliness: It offers a welcoming atmosphere for families with children and has high chairs or booster seats available for younger children.

We tried 4 items at the Shayona Cafe- the samosa chaat, dahi vada, combo plate and puri bhaji. I have to say the samosa chaat was not great, as it did not taste fresh, the samosas were very soggy and the sauce was bland and lacking the proper chutneys. It would have tasted better had it been made to order.

The combo plate with rice, dal, sabzi, jalebi and puri was very nice and a good item to share. The jalebis were fresh and crispy. The dahi vada, though it was packaged, was very tasty and the portion size was very filling. The puri bhaji was also good as the puris were hot and fresh.

Overall, the quality of some dishes needs to be improved, but it is a satisfactory place to eat when visiting the mandir.

It’s a cafeteria inside the Indian temple . Food is good and cost is reasonable as it’s run by temple trust . Good for vegetarian foods. This place also has lot of Indian snacks , traditional Indian medicines. They also sell to go Indian frozen foods and highly recommended.
