Had an unexpected stay in Chowchilla when our van broke down. Lunch at Mario’s was delicious, and served quickly at a good price. Overall good value.

First and last time here. Taco was soggie and fell apart, tamale tasted spoiled and if it had been made weeks before being served. Rice bland, beans tased like the ones from a can. Enchilada sauce was watered down and had little flavor. My partners food (carne asade) tasted like spoiled meat.Sorry to say, but the owners heart isn’t in it anymore to let go this bad…

Mario and his staff are wonderful. There Chile Verde is to die for. Great prices and even better food. This man even does catering. And let me tell you Mario and his wife are the best.
