We went to a Happy Hour at Acqua e Farina for the first time and sat in the outdoor patio. The food, prices, and service was really good and the patio area was spacious. Our server, Sergio, was very attentive and helpful. We had a good first experience at the restaurant and will be back!

I’m honestly a very picky eater and usually stick to the same “safe” dishes everywhere I go (pizzas, chx tenders etc.). But this time at Acqua e Farina, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try the Pollo alla Parmigiana — and I’m SO glad I did!

It was absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor with just the right balance of sauce and cheese. Everything tasted fresh and high quality, and you can really tell they put care into every dish.

We came in with a large party and the service was still outstanding. Our waiter, Roberto, was amazing — very knowledgeable about the entire menu and gave great recommendations. He also took the time to tell us about their brunch options and different offerings throughout the day, which we’re definitely planning to come back for!

The atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming, perfect for celebrations or family dinners. As someone who doesn’t easily branch out with food, this place completely impressed me.

Highly recommend — even for picky eaters like me! We’ll definitely be back.

I'm sorry to say that this was once a favorite place for me, but after my visit on 2/15/26, it has gone downhill. The bread and butter was not prepared the way it used to be. The raviolis were overcooked and broken. They took the osso buco off the menu, and I ordered the short rib. It's been great in the past, but that might, it was dry and chewy. I asked for some olive oil and the waiter said that didn't have any. Huh? An Italian restaurant with no olive oil? Even little things were off, like receiving one plate instead of two. I'm wondering if the management changed?

The food was on the cold side and appeared to have been sitting for awhile before it was brought out. Dishes were dirty. We started with the meatballs as an appetizer. They were chewy, and the sauce was watery.
The bread looked like two store bought slices of bread with frozen butter to cut into with no butter knife.
My Gnocchi came with bone marrow and it was a rock.
Highly recommend little italy 🇮🇹 for good, authentic Italian food.
Please do not waste your money expecting a great service and delicious food for the price they charge. You will be disappointed.

The staff were so incredibly sweet but unfortunately, this experience was such a big disappointment. We came for Valentines and it was the most expensive meal I’ve ever had but also the worst. For $70 a person, we got cold soup, a half serving of soggy calamari, under seasoned broccolini and mashed potato’s. The only decent thing was the steak we ordered. We had no utensils or napkins for over 20 minutes, our drinks took 20 minutes to arrive. My partner and I were trying our best to be understanding as it’s a busy day but as we looked around, it didn’t even seem that busy. People were being sat and then walking out because of how long it took for the to be served, multiple people asking to speak to the manager. It was honestly a mess and the food was so disappointing and extremely overpriced. Everything felt rushed and the Valentine’s Day menu felt like a cash grab. There was no ambience to restaurant in light of the holiday. Again, the staff were very nice and our waitress was very kind but the experience overall was quite awful.

What a surprise find in Chula Vista! A great place for family dinner or celebration. We had to try the “cheese wheel” pasta dish and it did not disappoint! No need to go to Little Italy with this local place - easy parking, varied menu, and great food.

My family and i went to go eat at this establishment recently and we were not satisfied with the quality and overall experience. We were seated and took roughly 15 minutes for a server to attend us and ask us for our drink orders. Then as we waited for our meals they came out one by one instead of coming out at the same time which wasn’t the issue the issue was that the last meal took over 1 hour to come out and not to mention that one server even brought out a dessert that was ordered with our meals (It came in a meal combo). So after all our meals finally got served to us no server came to check up on us. Unfortunately we loved the environment but we will not be returning to this establishment.

A friend of ours found this place through social media. Food was great as well as ambiance. Roberto was our server who was very polite, friendly and patient. Our friends arrived a little late as they have a little one, Roberto was more than happy to wait and was great. This will be a spot I will take my parents for an anniversary dinner later on.

We came to celebrate a birthday after being told in the morning that Dinner was a must! After a great experience in the morning food and service wise, we decided to come back for dinner. They did not disappoint. The server was Fernando. A very attentive person. His recommendations were great. When it was time to celebrate my birthday he joined in singing happy birthday with a very unique and wonderful way. Really appreciated it. Definitely our new place to enjoy a nice dinner. The place is decorated in a very unique way. The personell and food are great. Totally recommend it.
