“Cute little place with tasty dishes. Ordered the Pad Ped with chicken that came with white rice. This is the first time trying it and it was GOOD! Also ordered the Kao Soi tofu and veggie. Delicious yellow curry sauce and the noodle were perfectly cooked. We will be returning to try more things on the menu”

I tried the lamb tikka masala with buttered naan, chicken momo, and the mulligatawny soup. All fire! Definitely coming back. Truly a hidden gem ??”
“Between all the taco shops in the area this place is a fresh breath of air. Best of all they have 2 vegetarian protein options (tofu and plant steak). I got a bowl with plant steak and veggies over brown rice. The flavours were spot on. The wait time was minimal.”

“Tacos El Gordo isn't just a taco joint for us--it's practically our second home. We've made so many trips there that the staff probably have our taco preferences memorized by now. It's like our version of Cheers, where everyone knows our taco order. All the locations I've been to have the same ambiance, and set up. Red seats with white table and a security guard in case the Cartels try to come and steal some meat. Wifey and I will keep showing up like clockwork, here ready to dive into our beloved carne tacos and trippa delights at Tacos El Gordo!”

“We came in from las vegas and decided to try THE BALBOA SOUTH after hearing good things. We were not disappointed. The overall environment was clean, up beat, and family oriented. The centennial burger was massive and cooked medium the way I like it. The garlic fries, and salt and pepper fries were on point. The dark horse stout awesome!. Okay in done. “Stopped by today for lunch while getting a charge on my car and ordered their lunch special of pizza and salad. I had a slice with spinach, artichokes, and I think an Alfredo base, and the guy taking our order recommended the Greek salad. Both were excellent and made a fantastic lunch, I wish I wasn't just passing through or I would be back later today or tomorrow to try some of their other slices. If I had one critique it might be that the tables could have used a wipe down as it was tough to find a relatively clean one. Maybe they just wrapped up a lunchtime rush, however. Definitely hope to get another opportunity to visit in the future.”
“Ordered the fish tacos, huge tacos, absolutely delicious with everything on it. Also ordered the shrimp quesadilla...huge portion, also delicious great flavors. I'm giving it 4 stars because the salsas were horrible. They are placed where the sun hits and so it smelled a bit sour, not fresh or good for my liking. I asked for fresh refrigerated salsa n got the same watered-down habanero salsa. I tried it because i need the spiciness but honestly it just made my tortilla soggy n messy. Please work on your salsas and i will change from a 4 to a 5 star review. I will be back in a couple weeks.”

Place is cute and comfy with great customer service and the server was attentive and accommodated us very well. The hot cajeta latte was delicious accompanied by a small biscuit nice and creamy with a well balanced flavor. The chavo del 8 torta was also a big hit french fries nicely seasoned and crispy. We finished it off with a cajeta banana and strawberry crepe which was also delicious not too sweet and not too overpowering which was great as a dessert I will most definitely be coming back to try more from their menu.”

“Great location for our otay ranch community. Some of the food is outstanding. I've had a few dishes. A few of my favorites are the sisig bowl, waygu burger, Brussels and arugula melon salad. The rotating beer list is really good. I'm sure you'll find the beer you want. Since we only sit at the bar the service is always excellent. The parking is very weird you have to literally drive on what seems to be a sidewalk through the park to park in front. The ambiance is very open and airy. The music I thought the perfect level when you can hear it but also have a conversation. A bit busy on the weekends. It's worth it to give this spot a try. I am officially a regular since living just a few blocks away. It's now our favorite go to in the neighborhood can't wait til they get the actual liquor license to try some cocktails.”

“I would recommend this place for people who are veggie eaters or want to eat more vegetables they have a lot of veggie options or for vegan eaters just ask what vegan dishes they recommend. The Mango Lassi was really good, definitely recommend it. I had the Aloo Gobi Veggie Curry and it came with Basmati Rice, really good, was not spicy. Also ordered the naan with some type of cheese I forgot. Really good. Also got the lentils and very delicious. I’m not sure if there is anything spicy on the menu but I will ask when I visit again. I can’t wait to try the other curry’s.”

The restvof my party had birria and shrimp tacos and they were as pleased as me. I didn't get pictures of those though. Size wise, the tacos are good decent size. A bit bigger than average”

Despite asking numerous questions, the staff member was incredibly kind and provided us with all the information we needed. We savored the panang curry, mango curry, Tom Yum soup, and pork belly fried rice. Let me tell you, the pork belly was cooked to perfection—not too crispy, yet delightfully tender. The curries were absolutely divine, and the sweet tangy taste of the mango was a delightful addition. The soup was incredibly flavorful, and even the white rice was cooked with a delightful texture. I'm already craving to return and sample more items from the menu. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting as you certainly won't be disappointed.”

The food here has been good dining in or take-out. We have always enjoyed both visits here even our friends too. “One of the best burritos I’ve ever had ! The tri trip had so much flavor ! We got the surf N turf fries which we all shared. Amazing. Their house sauce is amazing and I even got an extra side of it ! I took a bite of the double cheese burger my wife got and it even had an egg on it! We shared the wings and I got the dirty search sauce on my side. Highly recommended the wings with the dirty search flavor. The restaurant had a full bar and tons of seating. I’m definitely coming back here to try some more items on the menu. The waitress was great in helping us picking out menu.”
“This is our GO TO place. Unfortunately, it's also that for all of Chula Vista. Sometimes, the wait is over 1.5 hours. The staff is always friendly and can accommodate my accessibility requirements.There really aren't a lot of handicap spots (maybe 5 out front and 2 on the sides). It seems there are more all in order spots out front. They have a lot of parking around the sides that could b utilized for pick-up orders instead of right in the front. Handicap parking is always full. Management aught to reconsider this.Wheelchair accessibility: I've already explained my issue with handicap parking. The way the dining is set up makes it hard to easily move around. I use my standing walker, and I can usually navigate, but it gets in the way of our seating. We manage tho and the staff are really good about it. I rarely see a manager walking thru, but in their defense, I usually see one manning the take-out area. All in all, we like the place and continue to go back. The bathrooms are always clean and maintained.”

This Denny's does not disappoint in any respect. Staff friendly and the food is delivered in 5 to 10 minutes max. I'm a breakfast guy here and will devour the Grand Slam with absolute joy. I had piping hot water (since my MD took me off coffee) plus water with no ice! Our waiter, Alexander, works till midnight and will treat you like a VIP!Our food was delicious, and all three of us cleaned our plates. The place was big and very inviting. I got myself a footlong steak and egg sub. They didn't have any flatbread which I normally get. I choose the jalapeño bread. The employee was nice and inviting and made my sandwich very quickly. The price was very reasonable as well. For around $7 for a footlong is a good deal. I forget to take a photo of the sub. Oh and they have sweet onion sauce here!!! I know some locations do not offer this. It's my favorite!! I would definitely go back to this location.”

I think her name was Kiara.. anyway it was a great experience to have the McDonald’s staff help, and my food was fresh and hot.I’m not sure why they have such a low rating. “A new Pinoy food place in Chula Vista area. The location is a bit more isolated from commercial areas. The dining area is a lil bit smaller but it feels good and comfortable to eat those meals freshly prepared when they served up to you. I ordered TAPSILOG, which is a combination plate of beef tapa, sunny side up egg and garlic rice. The beef tapa is very tender and very garlicky. AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! For dessert, I have buko Pandan. Creamy and sweetly flavored. Super like it! Both food were served about 15 minutes and the staff has offered more choices on their menu. Staff is very friendly and helpful to recommend their best seller amongst the food choices on their menu. I am happy that there are more Filipino restaurants popping out in Chula Vista. Another place for Filipinos to pig out and enjoy! Highly recommended to everyone. Will come back to this place soon to try more of their food in the menu.”

Opting for the carne asada plate, I was quickly served by the friendly staff. The food, especially the carne asada, had a great flavor to it. The flour tortillas that came with my meal were also very tasty.Owned by a welcoming family, this place adds a personal touch to the dining experience. I'm looking forward to returning for breakfast. “This is a cute little café in Southwest Chula Vista. I learned about it via Groupon. The reviews & photos were very good, so we tried it. The area it's located in is a little sketchy, and from the outside you can't see its charm. It's very small and there were no sit-down customers when we arrived, so I was worried. The menus need to be remade; the pages are starting to peel and need to be wiped down. But the descriptions of the dishes were well-worded and everything sounded delicious. I ordered the D'Amour Avocado Toast and hubby ordered Chicken Enchiladas w/Molé & 2 eggs on the side. Hubby got the Mexican Mocha & I ordered a Latte w/oat milk. The place was nearly filled by the time our meals arrived, so my worries were gone. Everything was delicious! I loved the basil vinaigrette that is drizzled over the avocado toast (as well as many of their dishes) & the arugula salad. Hubby was very pleasantly surprised at how good his Mexican Mocha was, and I loved my latte as well. When leaving, I asked hubby if he would want to return to Rose D'Amour. He immediately said yes, so I bought two more Groupons. I would go without a Groupon, but since I was able to purchase two more, it was a bonus!”

“This is our GO TO place. Unfortunately, it's also that for all of Chula Vista. Sometimes, the wait is over 1.5 hours. The staff is always friendly and can accommodate my accessibility requirements.There really aren't a lot of handicap spots (maybe 5 out front and 2 on the sides). It seems there are more all in order spots out front. They have a lot of parking around the sides that could b utilized for pick-up orders instead of right in the front. Handicap parking is always full. Management aught to reconsider this.Wheelchair accessibility: I've already explained my issue with handicap parking. The way the dining is set up makes it hard to easily move around. I use my standing walker, and I can usually navigate, but it gets in the way of our seating. We manage tho and the staff are really good about it. I rarely see a manager walking thru, but in their defense, I usually see one manning the take-out area. All in all, we like the place and continue to go back. The bathrooms are always clean and maintained.”

That flavor is super unique from Mexico and is the first time I find it here in the USA that has that authentic taste. They have a bunch of more flavors and cones, cups and much more! Fried calamari was crispy and served hot but was a bit overcooked. Beef empanadas were a bit too heavy with too much onion; however, the cheese and shrimp empanadas were excellent, tasty with a nice cheese and shrimp filling and a very light flaky crust. Also ordered a king crab salad which was very good, with fresh crab pieces (wished for more) and very fresh avocado slices on a bed of lettuce. “The restaurant is in a beautiful building in the center of the village. Near the koi pond. We were a party of 8 during peek hours for dinner. We didn't have to wait long no more than 10 minutes for our table. The decor is beautiful and calming. A big water fountain wall right as you enter. The staff is very friendly and welcoming! I tried the vermicelli noodle bowl with beef. The variety of authentic flavors are good! I had asked for the egg rolls to come on top of the bowl sliced up but it was not a good idea. The egg rolls were soggy. Other than that it was a very good meal everyone was very pleased with their meal. Huge shared parking lot out front with lots of movement. Good place for Vietnamese food!”

“The Manager Chris went above and beyond to make sure I had everything in my order, he also assisted with taking my large order to my car. An even though my son split a drink in the walkway he did not hesitate to have it cleaned up and wasn’t even upset about it. “Love me some wings! We came here on Veterans Day, a very busy day for most restaurants. I want to say Buffalo Wild Wings provided the best deal for this holiday. My husband got 10 free boneless wings! Plus fries. Cmon, now that's a deal. There was a line out the door before they opened. The managers greeted us. The food was fresh and the wings were cooked to our liking. The fried pickles were a hit too. My husband and I were the first customers this day, but other people got their food before us. That's why I'm docking one star off. We had to wait pretty long for our food. Other than that, we love this Bdubs! I suggest coming here for watch sports games and enjoy some wings with your loved ones. Favorite flavors are; Asian zing and lemon pepper. All flats, duh!”

It's like our version of Cheers, where everyone knows our taco order. All the locations I've been to have the same ambiance, and set up. Red seats with white table and a security guard in case the Cartels try to come and steal some meat. Wifey and I will keep showing up like clockwork, here ready to dive into our beloved carne tacos and trippa delights at Tacos El Gordo!”

Their is plenty of parking and the establishment is clean and inviting. The organization is lacking. The explanation of how to get seved was a little confusing. They seem to push you to the taco bar which might be the way to go, because table service was lacking personality and attentiveness. All and all, the food is what matters. At just under $4 a taco, it's better than the cattle line that is El Gordos.”

“Super fun for young children. We had a great time overall. A couple of things that irritated me were: 1) There were some fictitious pricing and misrepresentation issues. For one thing, we paid over $76 to have lunch with Elmo (Elmo's Pizza Party). We were told it was a 1 hour experience. Thought the experience runs from 1:45 to 2:45, Elmo didn't even show up until after 2:30. That left very little time for each group to spend with him. Not much more than we would have had at one of the free meet and greet experiences throughout the park. Bummer. 2)There is a lack of training when it comes to the employees brand and product knowledge. Many of them were not even familiar with many of the more major Sesame Street characters. I think during the hiring process it would be best to hire folks that are passionate about the brand or at least passionate with regard to pleasing their younger guests. Didn't see that. Many were just collecting a paycheck. Smiles were rare. There were a few exceptions/staff members we really liked/appreciated. Rides were super fun, theme oriented, and tame enough for pretty young kids. That said, they were also exciting enough for our eldest to love them at 11 years old. Positives: 1) I think the best thing one can do is to enjoy the "Cookies & Milk" with Cookie Monster. They provide VERY SOFT, tasty cookies! Also, the milk comes in a cute souvenir cup that is refillable for the duration of one's visit. The only annoying thing is that they give the kids sub-par quality crayons w/very few colors (e.g. no brown) and many pictures they are supposed to color of Cookie Monster with his cookies (need brown). One would think that with as much money as they charge, they could at least provide Crayola quality crayons. 2) There were SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES for character meet and greets throughout the park! This was far superior to what SeaWorld used to offer in the Bay of Play. Before, you were lucky (if a character was out) if you managed to get into line before they closed it off. They allow plenty of personal photos which is very nice. Professional photos are also available. 3) Again must mention the rides. There were rides unique only to this park and not available at Seaworld. Kids especially loved Super Grover's Box Car Derby (roller coaster) and Sesame Street Soar and Spin (like a spinning tea cup style ride but UP IN THE AIR). 4) The parade is always a hit. However, I think it would be nice if the Sesame Street theme song could be incorporated. Also, it has been the exact same floats and parades for at least 6 or 7 years. It would be nice to see something different. Kids still love it though. 5) There were many opportunities to purchase souvenirs. One of the cool was an interactive wand similar to Great Wolf Lodge's Magicquest wands. However, we couldn't get ours to work. We asked an employee for help. She could not get it to work either and told us some of the sights that were supposed to be interactive just did not function sometimes. Very disappointing for the $40 I paid for the wand to have 1 sight out of 4 or 5 attempted sights working. All in all, it was expensive but still a great time.”

“Great location for our otay ranch community. Some of the food is outstanding. I've had a few dishes. A few of my favorites are the sisig bowl, waygu burger, Brussels and arugula melon salad. The rotating beer list is really good. I'm sure you'll find the beer you want. Since we only sit at the bar the service is always excellent. The parking is very weird you have to literally drive on what seems to be a sidewalk through the park to park in front. The ambiance is very open and airy. The music I thought the perfect level when you can hear it but also have a conversation. A bit busy on the weekends. It's worth it to give this spot a try. I am officially a regular since living just a few blocks away. It's now our favorite go to in the neighborhood can't wait til they get the actual liquor license to try some cocktails.”
