“Usually love this place. $17+ for a hefty poke bowl that's usually made with good vibes. However! Be warned. Ken is not the one you want. Could barely hear him, could hear his sighs though. Went there on 3/22 and he made the saddest bowl ever. Barely any protein, sauce, or toppings. Was so disappointing. Will go again but avoid him, lol. Here is a picture of what their bowls NORMALLY look like.“

“The whole staff is just as incredible as the food. Robert was so helpful from the start. Sara, our waitress was very attentive and personable. The sushi artists Ree and Darwin are masters at their craft. Dan, the manager, was friendly and I will absolutely be back. Best sushi I’ve ever had.“

“This Mexican-influenced sushi spot reminds me a lot of the sushi I’ve had in Tijuana. The food has that border-fusion style, and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere that feels more like a good Tijuana restaurant than a typical U.S. sushi place.
I really enjoyed the ramen, and the desserts were excellent—especially the churro-style tempura with cinnamon and ice cream. Service was okay but not outstanding; the staff is friendly and trying, though they could be more attentive. English is spoken well enough to communicate.
Overall, the food is the standout. Reasonably priced, good flavors, and a unique vibe. I’d definitely go back.“

“I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the service I received during my recent visit to your restaurant.

One of the waitresses was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout my interaction with her. Additionally, I requested a few slices of lemon, and later noticed that I was charged for them without being informed there would be an additional cost. I found this practice both misleading and discourteous.“

“For a little over $15 got an amazing plate, a large amount of food and very yummy. Piping hot and super fresh. The plate was heavy. Place looked and smelled very clean. Ordered bento box with spicy tuna hand roll, mixed tempura and California roll. Everything was excellent.“

“This hole-in-the-wall was BY FAR the best sushi and service! The food was delicious - all you can eat sushi, cream cheese wontons, spicy edemame. The service was great, hardly waited for food and they were busy with to-go orders most of the time. Will be back for more!“

“My daughter took me here for a belated Mother's Day Lunch on Monday. We went around noon. It wasn't busy at all. The customer service was great and the food was super delicious as always... We took advantage of the the lunch specials. You can't beat the prices on the Hibachi plates! We also got 2 appetizers: Calamari and Karaage. My daughter got Filet Mignon Ramen with a side order of shrimp...“

“I really enjoy dining here. I was introduced to this spot by an older friend and my wife. They had been coming here for years before any of us met (this place has been here for over 20 years). The food has always been on point, the service has always been excellent and everyone is just so nice when we visit. Consistency in these three things is such a hard thing to find these days and the folks at California Sushi deliver, spot on, everytime we have visited. “The only negative I have to say is the location. However the food was great. I got the short ribs. The meat was tender. My partner got that katsu and it's the crunch that gets me. Delicious. The Mac salad was good too. No weird after taste of fish oil that I've had at other places.“
