“Ichifuji Sushi was a major highlight of our family trip to San Diego. The atmosphere is very friendly and the shop itself has a great feel to it.
The chef was exceptional—not only was he incredibly kind, but he was also extremely good at explaining the details of every dish. One technical detail I really appreciated was his use of a 30-day fermented ponzu sauce. It effectively balanced the richness of the fish and acted as a perfect palate cleanser between courses.
The food was unforgettable, specifically:
• Lobster Sashimi: This was unbelievable and easily the best thing I had. I never realized lobster could be so naturally sweet.
• Sea Urchin: The uni was my second favorite—superb quality and very fresh.
I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for top-tier sushi and a warm, personal atmosphere!“

“We had a great experience at Jump Tokyo Sushi. The tonkotsu ramen was rich, comforting, and full of flavor—exactly what you want from a good bowl of ramen.
The truffle edamame was so good and addictive, and the chef’s pick sashimi platter was amazing with super fresh cuts and a nice variety. I also loved the shishito peppers—simple but perfectly done.
I was there in February 2026 and they had a happy hour (Mon-Wed) and it definitely looks like its worth checking. They had $1 off sashimi, nigiri, and special rolls, which is a great deal. Service was quick and friendly, making the whole experience even better. Solid spot for both sushi and ramen.“

Portion sizes were more than generous, and you definitely leave satisfied. The owner and his wife truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, which makes the experience even more special. We can’t wait to come back!“

“I had such a fantastic time here! I came here around maybe four p.m on a Friday, 2/20! It was my birthday, and my family came here to celebrate. We got seated and the staff gave us friendly greetings and the girl who served us was so nice to me telling me happy birthday ^^ . The food and the overall atmosphere is a plus! The sushi is so freaking good! 😊 And the yuzu cheesecake I got for my birthday is fire as well! Definitely will comeback! 💯 for you, Chef JUN! A+! Thank you for making my birthday extra special!“

“Their food is good and prices are decent, I have been here 3-5 times and always get a spring roll with pork and shrimp one time it had a big hair rolled in the middle they immediately remade it, honestly I am still pretty grossed out, they need to be more careful when making their food.“

“If you’re seeking an authentic traditional omakase sushi experience, this place is the place to be. My wife and I, originally from Japan, had an incredible time here. It’s clear that the chef puts in a lot of effort and care for his guests. The simplicity of his dishes highlights the freshness of the ingredients. The snow crab nigiri was simply phenomenal! Imagine the meticulous preparation involved, extracting every last bit of crab meat from the shell and also crafting the exquisite crab miso sauce. The abalone was equally impressive, with its fantastic abalone sauce. The local sea urchin was simply delightful, and I personally prefer it to Japanese sea urchin. He ensures that his fish base broth complements the Chino farm vegetables without overpowering them. None of his dishes overpower the freshness of the ingredients. Maintaining simplicity is challenging because it’s impossible to hide. It’s true Japanese-style omakase sushi! He manages to do it effortlessly. The service was also top-notch. The floor staff’s training is evident in their attentive and personalized service. The chef and floor staff work in perfect harmony as a team. We would definitely return for another special night!“

“This review is a long time coming the quality and the people here are top notch.
It is definitely my go to neighborhood spot, but even if I didn’t live here, it would be worth a drive. A lot of times I get takeout and eat some great sushi at home, but the dine-in experience is intimate and authentic.
Always looking forward to many more sushi nights here!!“

“They were very busy when we got there and there was a bit of a wait for a party of 4 but once we were inside they were very friendly and quick to take our order and quick to serve our food. The rolls were really yummy. Everything tasted fresh and the veggie tempura roll was very big. We were very full by the end of the meal and took home leftovers.“

“TJ really makes this restaurant unique and puts his own spin, hearing hip hop music during Omakase. The chef is really interactive with everyone and makes the meal fun! For this experience, we did the Omakase. As for drinks I started off with a Suntory Premium Malt Small. Then 3 Small Appetizers - Tako Jelly, Ankimo, Misotakai, Sashimi Combination - Toro, Mirugai, Kanpachi, Namadako, Aji, Okiaji, Hotate, Palate Cleanser - Negitoro Sumaki, Grilled Dish - Mehikari, Fried Dish - UchiwaEbi & Wakasagi Tempura, Steamed Dish - DobinMushi, Nigiri - Nodoguro, Aoyagi, KobujimeHirame, Hagatsuo, Sawara, Sanma, KamaToro, Uni, Dessert - Green Tea Ice Cream. When it comes ot the Small Apps, I would rate it like 4/10. Sashimi 2/10 - I really hated the Octopus and clam. I really really really liked the Palate Cleanser Negitoro Sumaki. The Grilled Dish - Mehikari was great too. Fried Dish tempura was 5/10. Steamed Dish was 5/10 too. As for Sashimi the ones that were good was Nodoguro, Hagatsuo, Sanma and KamaToro. These were ok: KobujimeHirame, Sawara. The one I didn't enjoy was Aoyagi (Conch). Nice to experience, great food and a fun meal!“

“The Sushi Stand makes your sushi quickly and to order. I can't vouch for the freshness of their fish as I have no idea where they get it from or how they store it, but I can vouch that it is good. Their preparation table is a little low, so you can watch them cut up the fish and prepare everything to be rolled. It's fun to watch how the pros make the sushi rolls.“

“I don't have any pictures unfortunately. Inside was pretty alright. Nothing too fancy nor exotic like Sushi Roll off of Broadway. -Looked like it used to be a Fast Food chain before it became Meijo Sushi judging by the drive thru. This gave me vibes that of Niban Japanese Restaurant near Convoy. The food such as the sushi however is one of my top favorites of all sushi/Japanese restaurants I've been to. I highly recommend the Seared Ahi Roll. First time trying it, and haven't seen that anywhere else especially near home. Arguably to myself, one of my favorite sushis out there. I even took my girlfriend here and that was a successful date. This just goes to show, never judge a restaurant by its interior. The food was spectacular. It's in a plaza and parking is plentiful.“

“Zzan sushi on convoy is sooooo delicious! the staff are the sweetest people, including the owner Tyler. They answered all our questions and were so patient. Everything we ordered was a 10/10. The vibes were so lovely and fun. We came as a group of 4 around 10pm and the wait was only 5-10 mins on a Friday night. So much fun!“

“This Mexican-influenced sushi spot reminds me a lot of the sushi I’ve had in Tijuana. The food has that border-fusion style, and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere that feels more like a good Tijuana restaurant than a typical U.S. sushi place.
I really enjoyed the ramen, and the desserts were excellent—especially the churro-style tempura with cinnamon and ice cream. Service was okay but not outstanding; the staff is friendly and trying, though they could be more attentive. English is spoken well enough to communicate.
Overall, the food is the standout. Reasonably priced, good flavors, and a unique vibe. I’d definitely go back.“

“We ordered food to go from Sushiman and it is one of the best sushi that I have ever had in a long time. The price is also very affordable. This will be my new go to sushi restaurant. The shrimps were extremely fresh and tasty. Just writing this review now days later is already making me hungry. Maybe I'll go there again tonight!“

“They always take a while to get your order ready ALWAYS! But the wait is very worth it. I had originally came here for the pork katsu and curry which is really good. I tried their sushi for the first time last night and was seriously surprised, in a good way. I’ve tried several sushi places in the South Bay and this is some of the best. If you’re ever in the area and craving sushi you should try it! I recommend it.“

“Bang for your buck on sushi. I always get sashimi platter and salt and pepper tofu. Ginza house noodles, orange chicken, all of it amazing.
Wait staff could use some training on service and how to look for tables that may need assistance. They seem to lose their way when they have more than 4 of 5 tables.“
