“We had awesome service by Dern! He was polite, friendly and outgoing. (Killer now tie too!) He made our experience so fun! I even witnessed his care for his customers as I watched him ensure an elderly man did not fall walking to the bathroom. Also, he seemed to interact positively with his teammates too. Thanks Dern! The facility and restrooms were clean. It was like stepping back in time. There are a lot of nostalgic things to take in. My husband and I split a classic hamburger, crinkle fries and a strawberry malt. All of it was delicious. My husband said, “if we lived here, I’d be a regular.””

“A great little French “bistro”. The menu is varied enough for most. I had the curry chicken salad which was perfectly flavored. Portion size was generous. My husband had a bacon panino with a suave of fresh fruit. The fruit was really fresh and ripe. We couldn’t resist dessert - they have a large display of very delectable desserts. The coffee was perfect - strong without any bitterness. Waiter was attentive without being intrusive and offered me coffee to go. I highly recommend this little gem. While we didn’t drink, the table next to us ordered several bottles of wine.”

“The pineapple fried rice was perfectly balanced with a hint of sweetness and spice, the red curry was rich and flavorful with just the right amount of heat, and the shrimp Tom Yum soup was comforting and packed with fresh ingredients. Everything was as delicious and very authentic. We’ll definitely be back!”

We ordered two EPIC hot lobster rolls (Connecticut style, warm with butter) and although they were delicious, for the EPIC PRICE OF $39 PER ROLL, it was very skimpy compared to what you get for that price in New England. They stack it high in the middle and don’t fill the bun to the ends to make it look super full. It’s not. The New England clam chowder was great though.”

“I had dinner here on a Sunday night. The atmosphere was great outside. It was a little chilly, but they have outdoor heaters. I would still recommend bringing a jacket with the breeze. I ordered the Greek salad, red wine, and the bolognese. My only complaint would be how long the entree took to come out. I was already there for about an hour before my entree came. It was amazing and I forgot about how long it took. Overall pleased. Be ready to spend a fair amount of money especially if you want appetizers and drinks.”

“Had a great experience at Parakeet Cafe! Azalea helped me decide what to order for lunch, and her recommendations were spot on. Everything I tried was fresh, flavorful, and exceeded my expectations. The service was friendly and welcoming, and I'll definitely be back. My only small suggestion would be to turn the music down just a bit, it was a little louder than I'd prefer. Other than that, everything was fantastic!”

“There’s no losing in Dice - you can only win: win with free drink or win by buying drinks for your friends. Best to get the “read ahead” on rules from Naval Aviator before “winning” and buying entire round a shout(round).”

“Which Wich is fun the first time with the whole bag-ordering thing, but after that it’s really about the sandwiches. They’re customizable and pretty satisfying if you know what you want. Quality’s decent, not amazing. It can feel a bit slow during busy hours. Overall, a solid pick when you’re craving something quick and made your way.”

“While getting in my steps and exploring the Coronado neighborhood, I discovered Crown Bistro at 520 Orange Ave. A beautiful and quaint cafe nestled within the Crown City Inn. The Crown Bistro is a fantastic family owned restaurant with tasty food and stellar service. I had the incredible crab Eggs Benedict with a refreshing mimosa”

“We all deserve a second chance and II Fornaio is not exempt. I was told to try this place for a nice meal. My family visited this establishment a few weeks back. Unfortunately, we had one of the worst experiences ever. Lack of attentiveness, service, taste, & dining experience. We left waiting to speak to a manager that never came as he was taking care of another matter and I didn't want to wait any longer. I got home and my wife insisted that I call to report our experience and give the manager a chance to do something about it. I spoke with Assistant General Manager Antonio Ramirez who apologized and said he would investigate and call me the following morning. Needless to say he didn't return the call for a week later. I honestly thought he forgot. Mr Ramirez called and once again apologize and offered to pay for our meal on the next visit. He was genuinely concerned about the companies reputation and making up for a poor experience. I returned the following week with a complete different situation. Mr Ramirez introduced himself, followed the hostess to our seat, took the unused glasses and offered to get our drinks. The busser, he could easily pass for Santa Claus, was johnny on the spot with water, tea and refills. Our waitress, Susan was what all should aspire to as far as a quality food server. Susan was suggestive of everything, we chose two of her recommendations and were not unhappy. Between Mr. Ramirez, Susan and Santa Claus (sorry never got the busser's name), my wife and I had the best dining experience that turned our hearts to highly recommend II Fornaio as the place to frequent for that wonderful dining experience. We will definitely return to dine after this time. Thank you for changing our hearts to believe in you. It's time to make Assistant General Manager Antonio Ramirez General Manager with his attitude, demeaner, and loyalty to the company and the return of a good customer experience. Thank you, Thank you and Thank you.”

“Nado Republic is one of my family and I's absolutely favorite restaurants!! The food is authentic Italian imported from Italy. The service is amazing (Arlo is THE best)!!! Ambience and music is great and they do an awesome job with celebrations! Highly recommend!!!”

“Cold Stone Creamery Located in the charming Ferry Landing shops, Cold Stone Creamery in Coronado offers a sweet escape with a wide variety of ice cream creations, cakes, shakes, and smoothies.

We ordered the Cotton Candy and Peanut Butter flavors, both were delicious and definitely hit the spot! Each was $8.95, totaling about $17.90 for two small scoops, which felt a bit pricey for the portion size in my opinion .

There are some chairs and umbrellas just outside the shop, so you can sit and enjoy your treat while taking in the view.

There was a long line when we visited, and we waited around 15 minutes to order. Staff was friendly!”

“Where is the 10 star option for service? I was at the hotel for a few nights for work. The entire bar staff was so hospitable and professional — it’s Elijah who really distinguished himself. By my third of three nights, he knew my name, what I was drinking, and what I wanted to see on the TV (hockey). That young man embodies hospitality.”

“So, I am updating my review. I still love Spiros, both locations,but this particular location has amazing views. However, the service here is not great, mostly 1 person, but they are always there, always taking the orders, which makes him hard to avoid. I believe his name is Steve. I literally dread placing my order when he's there. He is a very stressful person and therefore makes the ordering experience stressful. I go anyway with my family, this place isn't cheap for a casual place but the food is great. Well, recently I had an interaction with this guy that really upset me and my fam, he was very rude in front of customers and tried to make us feel bad. It was busier than normal because it was holiday time and events were happening. I will be contacting management personally but just beware of this guy when you go. Seriously disappointed.”

“We were a party of five at your Le Mesa location on 3/22/26 and I believe our server's name was Diana. Our experience was absolutely fantastic! The food was superb, the facility was spotless and every member of the staff that interacted with was professional, helpful and friendly. Diana was fantastic! She has the perfect balance of friendly efficiency, light humor to match our personalities and spot on timing to check in with us. We can't wait to visit again! Thank you.”

“The location is in a shopping center. There's no drive thru or bathrooms inside. It faces the street you have to park on the street and walk. The food was quickly served and hot/fresh. This place is on the side of the island that faces downtown San Diego. I drove from the beach so completely on the other side. It's less than 10 mins from the beach side.”

“A really cool vibe. A large bar area with plenty of bar seating, and table seating. An excellent array of cocktails, the bartenders are great. They made great drinks and we conversed about different things which made our stay enjoyable.”

“Had this place for lunch. The views of the ocean and hotel are great, I love the vibe. I got the Wahoo Al Pastor sandwich, it was pretty good. We shared the Sunset fries, they were loaded! This is a good place for lunch and drinks while enjoying the beach.”

“Honestly could be considered a bit pricy until you finish your first drink. The bar tenders make some of the best drinks I've ever had and at first they seem to just be heavy on the fruit but about halfway thru you realize they balance the alcohol perfectly so you cant tell that they definitely make them very sturdy for a day at the beach. As for the tacos, I usually end up having several by the end of the day they are just so balanced and flavorful. Good portion size too (I usually get several fish tacos and one or two shrimp thru the day). I will always recommend the classic margarita with a tajin rim or the watermelon drinks they make. The fruit garnish is to die for and very refreshing complement to the drink itself. I am very passionate about this place.”
