“We had awesome service by Dern! He was polite, friendly and outgoing. (Killer now tie too!) He made our experience so fun! I even witnessed his care for his customers as I watched him ensure an elderly man did not fall walking to the bathroom. Also, he seemed to interact positively with his teammates too. Thanks Dern! The facility and restrooms were clean. It was like stepping back in time. There are a lot of nostalgic things to take in. My husband and I split a classic hamburger, crinkle fries and a strawberry malt. All of it was delicious. My husband said, “if we lived here, I’d be a regular.”“

“We came for happy hour. Greeted right away by a very nice lady. She escorted us to find the best seat. Shared the calamari which was really good. Not too chewy. The old fashioneds were really good too. They were generous with the bourbon even with it being happy hour. Beautiful rooftop view of downtown coronado, hotel del and ocean.“

“Great appetizer and drink selection. Recommend: Salmon Rillettes, Parmesan/Garlic Truffle Fries, Olives and Almonds, and the Cheese plate. We were there over a holiday weekend (and during World Cup games) - so it seemed like they were short-staffed, but that might be different on 'normal' weekends.“

“Nice find, tucked away in the back of base next to the golf course. Came here on a Thursday because that’s when they do the Fried Chicken plate. Food was delicious, I was expecting something that tasted canned but this was a welcome surprise. Staff was also really nice. They have a full bar but I didn’t imbibe during lunch. I wish they had more than Pepsi products at the fountain soda stand. Will come back again“
