“Happy hour menu tonight and all was exceptional except the jamon croquettes. No flavor at all and they were out of caviar even though it was on the menu!!! Shame!!! However the service at the bar was exceptional! Friendly, professional and timely.“
“Very popular and well loved fine dining but casual Little Italy institution. Beautiful expansive horseshoe bar. Of the four of us, I was the only critic of the food. The ingredients are top-notch, but my salad was too acidic. My braised beef cheeks, a generous portion, were oddly crisped but tender on the inside. The broth was, surprise, acidic. Previously, I had the Branzino wrapped in spec (bacon), which was too salty in that it obliterated the taste of the branzino. Then again, everyone else enjoyed their meals.“
“Updating my review as I fondly remember my visit here more than a year ago. Best restaurant I've ever been to. Got a table by the kitchen and the chef working there was wonderful to talk to. Top notch service, amazing staff. I've never had a better culinary experience. Hope to return here soon.“
“The food at Nine-Ten is amazing. We had their sashimi to start and it was full of flavor and a lovely touch of acidity. We had the duck as an entree, which came with a pretty decent amount of meat, and asparagus and mushrooms on the side. I'm definitely not doing it justice in the description but it was delicious and filling. Not my favorite duck I've ever had but still tasted great. My favorite part was their half baked chocolate cake. It was the perfect cherry on top of a great meal.“
“Pricey. Exquisite atmosphere & delicious foods for dinner. Group of 13 of us booked the Captain’s Room which requires a $800 minimum. Popcorn was served while gathering our orders and it was a unique starter. 100% recommend the duck meatball ($19) and the Molten Chocolate Cake ($12)!“
“The food items were delicious, great selection of interesting dishes. The wine list was impressive (we’ve been to major wine areas all over the planet). However, what we were most impressed with was our server Olivia. She knew the menu items very well - could answer any and all questions that we had. She expressed herself very positively. Rather than ask “are you still working on that?”; she asked “are you still enjoying your meal?” Rather than reply to a thank you with “no problem” or “no worries”; Olivia replied with “my pleasure.” When we go back; we’ll make a point of asking for Olivia!!!“
“SoCalTasting's journey to Mr. A's Bar and Restaurant in Bankers Hill, San Diego was nothing short of extraordinary. With breathtaking water and downtown views and bay paronama, close-up airplane sightings, and the mesmerizing cityscape, it's a must-visit. Our experience was elevated to new heights with mezcal drinks adorned with burnt tobacco leaves, creating a flavor sensation like no other. An unforgettable fusion of views and tastes awaits! Service was fantastic! Definitely going back there soon!“
“Staff were all very welcoming and engaging. They greeted you warmly and called out to say goodbye when you left. That kind of courtesy is missing from a lot of places and I appreciate the positive, human interaction. It had the old time charm that I think changes people for the better. The food was made to order and fresh. You could watch your food being made, that’s how fresh it was. Highly recommend.Parking: Easy to find a place to park in the middle of the day, on a Saturday.Wheelchair accessibility: All one level“
“Whether you are popping in for a glass of wine before shopping at Sepulveda next door or having dinner of their wonderful specials that change daily (check Instagram), you will enjoy your experience at Juan Jasper. Lots of lively conversations between the staff and patrons (while still being attentive), varied and upbeat music playing just loud enough in the background, and a direct view of the kitchen makes for a wonderful atmosphere. A small act of consideration and respect by a customer is rewarded by the generous proprietor. This is what service and dining should be. You can see why folks happily wait to get a seat at this local gem. Cannot recommend enough: great for lunch and dinner.“
“Definitely reserve a table if you want to sit on the patio, though keep in mind that it still doesn't guarantee you a table next to the water. Still, the patio seating is beautiful during lunch time on a sunny day.We had forgotten to choose a protein for my salad so I requested salmon on the side after my salad came in. We didn't need to wait long to get it. Their drinks menu is great and they seem to be generous with their stiff drinks.“
“Urban Plates is a fantastic dining option for families looking for a healthy and delicious meal. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to gather with loved ones. The menu offers a wide variety of healthy choices, from fresh salads to hearty grain bowls and flavorful proteins. Each dish is made with high-quality ingredients and expertly prepared, ensuring a satisfying and nutritious meal. And let's not forget about dessert - the options are just as delicious as the main courses. From decadent cakes to creamy puddings, there's something to satisfy every sweet tooth.Overall, Urban Plates is a must-visit for anyone looking for a wholesome and enjoyable dining experience. The food is top-notch, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is friendly. I can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious offerings.“
“Attended an event here last night and their catering menu was on point! The truffle mac and cheese was a personal fave because you could take the premium cheeses used to create it. I also really enjoyed the frisky fried cauliflower and the pretzel bites! The service was also great. The servers refilled my drinks and took my empty plates promptly. This restaurant is perfect for a date night or a small private event! Looks like it would be a really good vibe on a weekend as they also had a DJ. I would definitely recommend this place! S/O to Chef Shawn for the delicious dishes!“
“Best beef ribs I've ever had. I wish there was one close to me, but alas I will have to wait til I can visit the area again.Line/wait was a bit long but worth. Service was super friendly, like almost too friendly but it's nice that they paid closed attention to all their tables.Update #1: got to try again! Still yummy, and portions are big, now I have takeout to enjoy tomorrow too!!“
“Excellent service. Fun, eclectic interior. Extensive, thoughtful, innovative and well-executed menu. This place is all over it.?My breakfast tacos were packed with lusciousness and were accented beautifully with fresh salsa and a great serrano hot sauce the server provided. I also tried the orange cinnamon roll pancake special; the base pancake batter was just ok, and I didn’t get much orange flavor, but with the great crunchy topping, and the cinnamon both in the butter and swirled nicely into the cake, it was an overall success.?I’ll def hit this place up again the next time I have the opportunity.“
“Seasons 52 always goes above and beyond! We have never had a bad meal here! Our waitress was super helpful and knowledgeable about the menu! We loved the wine that she recommended so much that we ended up buying a bottle to take home with us! The lamb was incredible as well as the Filet & Lobster!“
“We stayed nearby Sunnyboy boy during our visit to San Diego and decided to give the place a try one day. Wish we came sooner because the food is delicious! The biscuits and gravy were good but I’d definitely get the fried chicken and biscuits! It does get busy around lunch time but it’s worth the quick wait. The staff is also very nice which is a huge plus!“
“I had a croissant, some French Toast, and a latte here. I really liked the French Toast! It was covered with pine nuts, and was drenched in syrup (which I was kinda surprised by, since I thought the pine not coating was going to prevent the today from soaking up the syrup). The nuts added some nice texture, and the syrup was a good amount of sweet. It was kinda hard to cut into, so I just kind of had to bite into the toast slices (maybe that's intended, though). The croissant and the latte were decent; nothing too eye opening for them but they I liked them a decent amount (I think the croissant is maybe good, with something else that is more savory than what I got). Overall, I liked what I got, and am happy to go again!“
“Fantastic BBQ. The best I've had outside of Texas. There's a line and they sell out so get there early. On a Saturday, we showed up at about 540 and by the time we got to order they had run out of the pork spare ribs.We did get just about everything else and it was fantastic. The sauces were great too. Also don't forget the sides! We got the potato salad and had to go back and get more because it was so good. We will definitely be going back again!“
“Del Mar has grown up!I lived in Del Mar in the 80s and 90s, to see Del Mar and what we called east Del Mar, north city west today, it's unrecognizable. The cute little beach village 92014 retains the same feel. East of the 5 is now a destination for the bougie trendy crowd. The shopping is fantastic, the theatre's top-notch the food and atmosphere is as good or better then the best zips in the state.Nicks fits in perfectly. The place is classy, clean, and delicious.Top this off with world-class service, and it is a must-visit.“
“I went to this tiny, hidden, establishment on a whim.I love fried chicken and Cluck 'n' Sip had a M-F, $7.99 lunch Special which caught my eye, 2 pieces, 1 side, and a drink. These days that's a great price for a lunch so in I went.Cluck 'no Sip was very clean inside and had about 8 tables. The young lady who took my order was very nice and knew about the different items they had. Which nowadays is quite surprising. In any event I received 2 Large pieces of chicken, a leg and a thigh. And when I say Large I mean LARGE. NOT those wingsized pieces that they claim are Large at the more popular, well known, and Much MoreExpen$$$ivve fast food chicken joints.I also got a decent sized side of jambalaya, a piece of maple buttered toast, and a drinkIt Was Delicious! The chicken was lightly battered and fried perfectly. Not greasy at all. The jambalaya was spicy without being So spicy that it detracted from the flavor of your chicken, and the toast was really tasty. They also offer about 10 different dipping sauces. I tried the Hillcrest dip which was spicy but Not Too.Cluck 'no Sip also has sandwiches, chix tenders and some really good specials that they offer throughout the week.Do yourself a favor and seek out thisnew, great tasting fried chicken spot. You will Not be disappointedI Will Definitely be going back toCluck 'n' Sip.“
“Rutget exceeded all expectations! From the delightful drinks to the delectable food and vibrant atmosphere, every aspect was simply outstanding. Without a doubt, I'll eagerly return whenever I find myself in Fashion Valley. Highly recommended!"“
“I've been on a burger kick so my husband has been taking me to all his favorite places. I ordered the balboa burger and it was delicious ! Along with the fries , I really enjoyed the aioli sauce. I'm excited to come back and try out the different burgers. Everyone who works here is great ! It's a pretty cool place to drink some beers and play some pool.“
“I love this hidden Gem.Never had a bad exp. Always friendly clean looking employees. Good is fresh tasting and its very mod. Priced. Cant say enough goodthings about this place. My first time i had a waiter by name of Luke. He was very attentive and super patient. I go now for the fiod and vibes but cane back cuz of the service he showed. Great place“
“I had to arrange a dinner for a large group, which went flawlessly with the excellent service from Christy (assisted with arranging a menu) and Enrico our server. They went above and beyond and made sure that everything went smoothly. The food was outstanding and the views simply gorgeous. The portions of food were also very large! What a wonderful restaurant with employees that are highly competent, courteous, and customer focused. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!“
“There were no tables so we had to sit at the bar. Be sure to make reservations for a Saturday night. I ordered the Spicy burger and it tasted delicious. A little on the greasy side but still pretty good. Had to wipe my hands after each bite. There was a Serrano pepper in my burger which made it super spicy. The clam chowder was perfection. Service was wonderful. Definitely coming back.“
“Classic San Diego indoor-outdoor set up where you can't tell if your table is in the dining room or the patio. They kept the feel of the old dealership which was neat! Vegetable dishes were so fun and satisfying, especially when you wipe the plate with the sourdough. Roasted carrots were an explosion of flavors, as was the caulilini. Oreo beignets were a little on the undercooked side but a fun option. Mezcal drinks were also great!“
“SD native here and this place has the second best burgers in all of San Diego, and third place isn’t even close. And that’s no slight, it’s a compliment. The chicken sandos and floats are unreal as well. I’m assuming the salads are just as good. Highly recommend“
“I've been meaning to write this review but I keep forgetting. This was my first 3 star Michelin dining experience and I just want to say the service was absolutely impeccable. I was impressed from start to finish with the service. The restaurant can be quite drafty so I recommend dressing warm, but I think the server could tell I was a little cold so he brought heated pillows for me and switched it out throughout the entire dinner. It's the little extra touches that really elevates the dining experience for me. Onto the food though, we enjoyed majority of the dishes, there were a few misses but I thoroughly enjoyed mostly everything. Is it worth the price tag? I definitely think so. I can also see why it was awarded 3 stars. The wagyu dish was my favorite extra dish, I was not a fan of the extra truffle dish and that was probably my least favorite of the evening. Also just to note if you're dining at the late dinner service the street is quite dark and parking can be a tad confusing. When we walked up to the restaurant we weren't quite sure if we were at the right spot. But once you enter and see the hostess they'll guide you to the bar.“
“In-N-Out Burger stands as a shining beacon in the fast-food industry, offering an unparalleled dining experience that leaves an indelible mark on your taste buds. From the moment you step into the restaurant, the vibrant atmosphere and the welcoming smiles of the staff promise a memorable visit. The menu, while seemingly simple, is perfected to a T. The burgers are always fresh, juicy, and packed with flavor, each bite a testament to In-N-Out's commitment to quality ingredients. The secret menu adds an adventurous twist, allowing for personalized orders that cater to every individual's taste. The fries, made from real potatoes and cooked to crispy perfection, and the thick, creamy milkshakes, made from real ice cream, are the perfect complements to any meal. What truly sets In-N-Out apart is its exceptional service. The staff are not only efficient but genuinely friendly, going above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Their speed and accuracy in handling orders, regardless of the crowd, is truly commendable. Moreover, In-N-Out's dedication to maintaining a clean and inviting dining environment adds to the overall positive experience. It's always a pleasure to dine in a space that feels as good as the food tastes.In-N-Out also deserves praise for its principled approach to business, including its commitment to employee welfare and sustainable practices. Knowing that my favorite burger spot values ethical operations as much as I do makes every visit even more enjoyable.“
“It had been a very long time since we came to Sizzler… many many years. The Manager Luis jumped in to help get the ordering line moving. Carlos our server was very attentive. Ribeye was seasoned perfectly and vegetables were steamed just right. Salad bar was excellent and fresh, 5 stars for salad bar. Definitely will come back.“
“Carvers is one of our favorite restaurants It is a hidden secret near Von's in Rancho Bernardo. My husband lives the pork Chops & I love the filets or the Prime Rib. In the bar, they have weekend musics & they make a great burger“
“1st time ever here. My sister bragged about it forever until finally after a loooooong day at Legoland celebrating my son's 3rd birthday we decide to eat there for dinner. I ordered the Loaded baked potato burger...BOOOOMB!!! Sooo delicious I wanna go back for more. Anyway, my son was asleep when we got there and literally when he peaked and woke up. Our waitress Jacqueline paid attention and got him a little brownie to sing to him....he was soooo happy. Jacqueline really made our night with great food suggestions and attentive to with my family. Highly recommend it there. Definitely going back...thank you soooo much for a great finish to a great day“
“Always a chill vibe at Bivouac. Management/ownership hires the best people. Everyone is always sooo friendly. I'm a beer girl and don't care for super fruity/sweet drinks, but I do enjoy my ciders every so often. This place is always on point because they offer both semi-sweet and semi-dry ciders, draft craft beer and cocktails to accommodate all tastes. I normally come here for a sip rather than food, but the food I have had is also very good. The meatball appetizer is on point, I wouldn't be mad if I paid full price for them since they are yummy, but the $6 happy hour deal is a steal.IDK if you know, but the owner makes a FIRE chili. They've won the chili cookoff at Sonofest a few years in a row now. I attended the Dec. 2023 festival and I can confirm that the chili is delicious. A few weeks back, they had a ton of off-menu chili specials which I obviously couldn't pass up.This place is great for a date night, happy hour vibes, etc. Stop by! They're also very dog friendly which is a plus for me. My dog even loves the atmosphere here because she always tries to go in when we walk by. :)“
“After a recent first trip to NZ, I see why this place is so good. The food is fresh and deliciously eclectic, with tastes of Euro cuisine. I am personally a pescatarian, and their Ahi was very good. I hear their meats are as high quality as in NZ too. Oh, and the cocktails aren't too shabby either!Vegetarian options: All their burgers are available with Impossible meat.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy ramp in the back and lots of seating.“
“Host and server were very nice. Street parking only. Get there as early as you can as they fill up fast. Prices were a bit high as it is La Jolla after all. Outside you can smell the sea Lion waste. Food was ok. My fav was the jam for my toast.“
“Here in town for mine and my boyfriends anniversary and we randomly looked up bars near our hotel. This one popped up and we decided to go! Sooooo glad we went! The food was absolutely amazing!!!! Those ginger soy marinated wings were soooooo flavored omg. I wanted more and more haha! The service was amazing, if you don't sit at the bar top, you can order from a side window and I swear my drinks came out in less than 2 minutes and the whole place was packed! The guy working the window was extremely friendly and we felt welcome the second we walked in! Will DEFINITELY be back!“
“The food at this restaurant was very good, but the service was quite slow (delivery of water, drinks, napkins, take-away box, etc.). It was a bit frustrating to sit and wait while watching the waiter stand around and talk as we waited. Even so, the food was delivered in a very reasonable amount of time, and it was very tasty. The restaurant was unusually cold inside, and the seats are very hard. We had to eat with our jackets on, and we had to take seat cushions from other chairs when they became available. We might return to this restaurant in the future, but would hope for better service.“
“Good breakfast food but sub par service. The hostess got my cell phone number wrong and after 40 mins of waiting I went back in to check on the status only to be told our table had been given away. Once sat, the waitress was very attentive at the beginning but then was nowhere to be found for 30 full minutes at the end. The food itself is good and is comparable to The Broken Yolk, and came out within 10 minutes of ordering. The atmosphere is quaint and eclectic with most of the seating outdoors. If this was within walking distance of my place, I would probably come here on weekends, but wouldn’t make the drive to eat here again.“
“Food was very good especially the Brussel sprouts elk flank steak and burger. Service was very good but slow. The core was lovely but it was a bit loud. One of the very few places that is open late at night in san diego. Very good , happy hour and late night menus.“
“We went for weekend brunch and since we had reservations, we were seated immediately.Pros: We had the wood fired cauliflower and chicken sandwich. The wood fired cauliflower was simply delicious with a burst of flavors (tangy, sweet with a little bit of spice). The portion size is particularly small for this dish but we were warned by the waitress beforehand so we knew what to expect. The chicken sandwich was nice and juicy.Cons: For a brunch place, the only coffee option they had was the drip coffee. So if you're looking for a nice cup of latte or espresso or cappuccino, you won't find it here.“
“Really good service. Very friendly and professional. Food was well prepared and favorable. Had our preteen granddaughters with us, and they enjoyed their meals a lot.Dietary restrictions: We shared our allergy issues, and all meals were free of issues.Kid-friendliness: They have a small game area that we enjoyed.“
“"Wings were good." - from my 13 year old dining partner! We LOVE sandbar. We come here every time we stay on mission beach. It's a sports bar, downstairs can be kind of loud - but the tv's are great for march madness watching! We always start with the AMAZING pretzel bite appetizer. Always the best.Tonight I had a cobb salad. Got exactly what i expected & it was refreshing. The little dude ordered the wings and enjoyed the Spicy Garlic Ranch sauce. YUM. The only reason I took off one star was that I never got a water refill our whole meal. The upstairs is really our favorite part of the restaurant, but it was a little too cold to sit up there tonight!Great job and of course we will be back!Kid-friendliness: It's great! Kids are never questioned and the servers treat them like adults! Super appreciate that it's a bar, but also family friendly!“
“A couple days ago there was a post asking about the best eggs benedict in OB. A lot of people had recommended Surf Lodge and since I was unfamiliar with eggs benedict (and it is something I would not usually order), guess where I visited yesterday on my day off. ? I went to OB Surf Lodge and had to try their well talked about Crab & Bacon Benny which is seasoned crab cakes, sliced tomato, arugula, crumbled bacon, poached eggs & hollandaise served on rustic sourdough. I now see why it was well recommended as it was a happily delicious meal. Surf Lodge is also a great spot to just lounge and people watch while feeling the ocean breeze blowing through their spot. I got to talking with David the manager after I had already placed my order and he said he loves this meal and instead of it on sourdough toast he gets it on English muffins. I feel that’s a valuable pro insider tip and now can’t wait to try it again that way.“
“Was there with a large group (30ish people), and had a single waitress. A sure recipe for disaster. And completely wrong. Our waitress rocked it! She was attentive, got our orders right, and had a good attitude while doing it. Really helped to make the evening fun for us.“
“We had a client event here and everything was perfect starting with the initial coordination and planning with Mason until the very end of the reception. Mason was very open and flexible in meeting our needs and made the perfect food suggestions. The space is fantastic, all of our guests commented on what a great place it is. Very accommodating offering enough room to socialize and enjoy the food and drinks. The food was tasty and presented nicely and the drinks were carefully curated by experienced bartenders. Everyone working at Madam Bonnie’s were professional and truly understood good customer service. I can not express enough how much we appreciated Mason and his team’s help in making our client event a success.“
“First time visiting this place. It was a cute, cozy atmosphere. It feels like you're in someone's home. They have a full bar and food menu. I ordered the steak and fries and the BF ordered a burger. We started with their calamari and drinks. I have to say, everything was GOOD. Food was fresh and delicious. My bloody mary was really good and well put together. Service could have been better, but I don't regret trying this place.“
“Easily one the best joints I have found in the past few years. The quality of their steak as part of a breakfast meal was way better than I am used to outside of a dinner at a high end steak place. One of us has a gluten allergy and they had plenty of great gluten free options. I have been twice in two days now and all of the food has been excellent. Their staff are also super welcoming and courteous.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free“
“Came for a weekday lunch and had the B-appled panini which includes the pasta salad for $13. Prices are fair. Outdoor seating is picnic table style. The wait staff are fantastic! Came to ask if we needed the heater on, how the food was, and read my mind that I needed a to go box.I lost or dropped my valuable there and went to retrieve it the next day with everything in tact. Super appreciate the honesty and integrity of the staff and patrons here! Would love to come back for breakfast sometime.“
“Was craving chili cheese fries and I'm SO glad I came here for them. they were LOADED. made fresh and hot. thick fries layered with melted cheese and delicious chili. the chili dog was also perfect and hit the spot. the owner was So nice and welcoming. very mom and pop vibes. food made with love. will definitely be coming by again, and again and again.“
“It was a lovely Sunday Easter Brunch. Don’t miss the standard on the menu Pork Belly and polenta!Kid-friendliness: The staff is very attentive. They could tell that my waitress hadn’t been here for a minute and the front hostess person saw that and she came over and immediately took our drink order before our entrée order.“
