“1st time trying this restaurant. It was highly recommended by my son and daughter in law and it did not dissappear. I ordered the Tampequena plate and it was a unique and well presented plate. The steak was tender and perfectly prepared and the enchilada and potatoes complemented the entire plate. Loved the atmosphere and the pitcher of margs was natural tasting.“
“Retro arcade conveniently located in La Mesa. Don't drink so can't speak to the beer selection but they have a wife variety of taps. If theres a beeryou wanted to try this is a phenomenal opportunity. Played for about 45 min, 2 ppl cost $27 incl good tip. Sundays are free play all day. I'll be back“

“I live out east nowadays, but I visit my hometown in La Mesa yearly. Came to Curbside for the first time last year, and just now went back again. I wish we had food like this around here when I was growing up!! My gosh, the short rib beef is incredible. Had it on a salad last time, and just now had the short rib taco along with an equally impressive fish taco. I got a few bites of the beef kebab too, and it was just as top-notch! Great seating options with a view of La Mesa Blvd. Good beer list too. And wonderful staff. I wish I had more time to try more of the menu—but I’ll be back every time I’m in San Diego down the line. Wishing the best to Curbside!“

“T&A Adventures is @ The Hills Local Pub in La Mesa California having THE BEST BURGER of our adventures so far! I mean WOW! Juicy deliciousness! Garlic Parm Burger - Half Pound patty, candied jalapeño bacon, swiss, garlic aioli, arugula, tomato, brioche bun, parmesean crisp - Served w Fries. Absolute 🔥! Our Server "Jordan" was awesome too.“

“I havent been to a Boll Weevil since before 2019, they closed down the Chula Vista and Imperial Beach locations, but always liked their burgers and atmosphere. I found out there was one in La Mesa so I had to go and try their Super Cheeseburger and onion rings again (love their condiment tray). They did not dissappoint. Excellent food as I remember it being before!“

“Bought online and picked up the family meal on the Monday before T-day. Easy parking, no line. Walked right in, picked up my goods, and walked right out to my car. Soooo smooth. Learned my lesson last year. Plus, got a discount for picking up my order early.
The ham and sides were awesome! Next... Christmas dinner....“

“Came in for breakfast before a kickball tourney and had Cesar as our server. Honestly, probably the best server I’ve ever had. He was on top of everything. He made jokes, was super personable, always had our coffee and water filled. Put a smile on our face the whole time this Easter morning!“

“Our waitress, Ximena was very pleasant. She gave service with a smile and with excellence. And this was all before she shared with my husband and I that prior to us asking for our check, another customer across from us had paid for our meal. Both Ximena and the good Samaritan customer made our experience, The Best on April 22, 2026. Thanks IHOP for hiring Ximena!!“
