“Ordered off the 55+ senior menu for the first time. Ordered the 2 egg scramble with bacon and toast. We were there very early in the morning so service was quick and attentive and the food came to the table fast, hot and exactly as ordered. The restaurant was neat, clean and our server checked in a few times to if we needed anything. All in all my friend and I left fuii, satisfied and the 55+ menu saved us some cash as well.“

“The burgers! Feisty Kate's has robbed me as a customer from one of the other food choices at the casino purely because of their burgers. Okay, and their staff too. I always get their burger, plain, add, cheddar, bacon, mushrooms, and a smear of mayo. The buns are fresh and toasty, burger and mushrooms are juicy. As overwhelmed as you would think the staff would be, the ladies always seem to greet you with a smile and cheerfull disposition, considering the demands some of the customers seem to put on them. Waiting and observing. Finish it off with a vanilla malt and a healthy tip. They deserve it!“

“This is one of our favorite places to take friends when they come to visit. We took our parents last night, and it was perfect. The patio is the best place (I think) to enjoy a meal and the buzz of La Mesa. We happened to come when they were doing an outdoor street concert. The energy was perfect!
Our favorite thing to order is the La Reina molcajete. It's cheesy deliciousness and we ended up eating our leftovers for days. We tried the La Jefa version last night. Still very good and plenty for two people. I love all the fun cocktails you can order, and the service is exactly what you'd expect for a CRG restaurant - friendly and attentive.
Restrooms are clean, there is plenty of parking behind the restaurant, and the food is wonderful.“

“I had the pleasure of visiting Cali BBQ while staying in the area. There wasn't a wait to be seated which was nice. My server was very polite, attentive and helpful. When I visit a bbq place for the first time I usually try their brisket. If you can't do great brisket then you should just close up shop. Cali's brisket was easily one of the best briskets I have ever had. Tender with a smoke that was on point. I had the sandwich but if I am ever lucky enough to get back to Spring Valley my plan is to order the plate. I chose Mac &Cheese as a side and it was very nicely done. Such excellent food!! I liked that I could sit and watch one of the TVs if I wanted to but ignoring them was possible too. The vibe was very inviting and comfortable. I look forward to visiting again!“

“The Not-so-Tots are great. Order them with no liquid cheese, only shredded cheese (unless you like liquid imitation cheese). The chili cheese dogs are pretty good too. The hamburgers, are pretty awful. Every time I have ordered one, the meat has been stale. That kind of almost rancid fat taste. I gave it 4 stars overall, because tater tot nachos? Doesn't get much better than that. Atmosphere is lacking, the tables are crowded together, and they're always busy, so service is so-so.“

The only downside was the service, which seemed a little slow due to limited staff. There appeared to be only two servers, so it took some time to place our order and get our food. “Located inside Sycuan Casino, this is such a great spot to sit down, relax, and enjoy a meal. One of the best parts about this place is the beautiful view overlooking the Sycuan pool and surrounding mountains—it really adds to the whole experience.

The menu has something for everyone, including all-day breakfast (which I love) along with a variety of other delicious options. It’s become a go-to spot for my family and me whenever we’re celebrating a birthday or any special occasion.

If you come for dinner, don’t skip the bread—they serve it warm and it’s so good. Some of my favorite dishes here are the calamari, salmon, pasta, and honestly, you can’t go wrong with their breakfast either.

Definitely a place worth checking out if you’re at Sycuan and looking for a great meal with a view.“

“This was a lovely restaurant I came to for my friend's birthday. Every guest seemed to like their dish. I ordered a club sandwich (no bacon, no tomatoes) with a side of fries but I was a bit disappointed when they brought it with bacon and tomatoes. They sent it back and corrected the order, and it ended up being pretty good and very filling. The restaurant has an outdoor terrace that has a beautiful view on the pool area.“

“This place gets pretty busy on weekends! The parking lot may be full but you can still park along the street. It’s pretty large so there’s usually seats. I love the borracho fries, so good! Also the pulled pork and the cheeseburger are tasty too. The service is good as well. My one complaint is they run out of their popular items by 2pm, tri tip and hot links get sold out really fast. I know they can only bbq so much but maybe add some more of the popular meats?“

“This place is great, I got the shrimp burrito. who knew tater tots and shrimp go well together! It adds a slight crispness to every bite. I couldn’t finish the burrito it was so big but I wanted to cuz it was delicious. My husband from PA got the Philly cheesesteak to try and he approved. He even liked the special sauce they used.“

“I live out east nowadays, but I visit my hometown in La Mesa yearly. Came to Curbside for the first time last year, and just now went back again. I wish we had food like this around here when I was growing up!! My gosh, the short rib beef is incredible. Had it on a salad last time, and just now had the short rib taco along with an equally impressive fish taco. I got a few bites of the beef kebab too, and it was just as top-notch! Great seating options with a view of La Mesa Blvd. Good beer list too. And wonderful staff. I wish I had more time to try more of the menu—but I’ll be back every time I’m in San Diego down the line.
