“This place is sooo good!! The sandwich was amazing but the customer service was even better, they’re so sweet! The entire meal with chips was $14.50 and the sandwich was 3 layers. Not to mention the free cookie the owner gave both my friend and I. This place is so homey and has a great environment and super affordable!“

“The Not-so-Tots are great. Order them with no liquid cheese, only shredded cheese (unless you like liquid imitation cheese). The chili cheese dogs are pretty good too. The hamburgers, are pretty awful. Every time I have ordered one, the meat has been stale. That kind of almost rancid fat taste. I gave it 4 stars overall, because tater tot nachos? Doesn't get much better than that. Atmosphere is lacking, the tables are crowded together, and they're always busy, so service is so-so.“

“We visited Hoorah Cafe for brunch right after our son’s graduation, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. Even though they don’t take reservations and the place was absolutely packed with graduates and their families, the wait for a table wasn’t bad at all. It honestly felt like the team anticipated the rush — they were organized, calm, and ready for the day.

Once seated, our food took about 20–30 minutes, which was completely understandable given the huge crowd that arrived all at once. What impressed us most was how smoothly the staff handled everything. Service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, even under pressure.

The food itself was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and worth the wait. They also have a great coffee bar, which made the experience even better. We enjoyed some really yummy coffee while waiting, and it made the whole morning feel relaxed and enjoyable rather than rushed.

Overall, we had a wonderful time and left extremely happy. Highly recommend Hoorah Cafe, especially for brunch, and we’re already looking forward to returning soon.“

“I visited Higher Grounds Coffee + Cafe in Kearny Mesa for the first time on Monday, and I’m honestly blown away that I didn’t know this place existed — especially since it’s less than a 15 minute walk from my office!
The vibe is warm and inviting, the staff is friendly, and the food… incredible. I ordered the Black Bean Burger, and I can confidently say it’s the best one I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned, great texture, and super satisfying.
As soon as I got back to work, I couldn’t wait to tell my coworkers about this hidden gem. I’m already planning my next visit. If you work or live anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and check this place out!“

“I ALWAYS enjoy my burger from Crispy burger. I have celiac disease and I never have a reaction when I order here and get a burger and order it with the gluten free bun (which actually tastes good and doesn't immediately fall apart). My family always enjoys their food, too. They particularly love the onion rings, which, I cannot personally vouch for (obviously), but they are big critics, so they must be delish.
The ONLY down side to the Crispy burger on Convoy is the parking situation.. like,, daaaaaang. What the heck is happening there??? It's best to park on the street NEXT to the shop rather that try to fight for a spot in the lot (that has like 12 spots total for 4 very popular store fronts).“

“A grill come small convenience store all rolled into one. Went there for some odd groceries and found that the grill was pretty good as well. There was nothing bad their. Again nothing fancy but certainly good value for money and could not complain about any of the dishes I ordered. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.“

“My wife and I stopped into the Spot because it was the type of food we were looking for after a long day of traveling. The spot offers pub fare such as wings, mac n cheese, burgers, pizza, etc. My wife had fish tacos and I had buffalo chicken tenders and the "adult mac n cheese." All of the food came out in large portions! Food was great. The bar is laid back like a traditional pub. You can't go wrong here if you are looking for pub food at a reasonable price.“
