“Been here twice already. First time with a large group of friends and another with just the hubs. We didn't have that big of a problem when there were 6 of us. We came before the dinner rush and were seated immediately and were asked what drink we would like. They do give physical menus but if it's super busy, you can just scan the QR code, view the menu on your phone, as well as order through the phone. Pretty efficient, no complaints. The servers are nice too. We really liked the variety of food that we ordered from here. We got the XLB, and it was good. The skin is a little thicker than I like but overall, there was soup inside and the skin didn't break. Oh, and the flavor was good. We also ordered the pan fried chicken dumplings and those were crispy outside and bursting with flavor inside. It was a good plump dumpling. There is chili oil, vinegar and soy on the table, if you want to make a dipping sauce. We also ordered the green beans and that was just okay to me. The bok choy with garlic was crispy and light in flavor, it's almost like a palate cleanser, which was nice. We also had the popcorn chicken and that had a good crunch to it. Another dish we ordered was the fried rice and it actually had a good amount of toppings in it. It just wasn't all rice. It also wasn't oily. We also ordered the eggplant dish and that was slightly sweet and a hint of spicy, from what I could remember. You need some plain rice to eat it with. And my favorite dish would be the mapo tofu. It had that numbing flavor and it had a great kick to it. It's nice that it comes with plain rice but man, you need more rice than what they give because it's nice to soak up all the sauce. I love it. Two other dishes we ordered were the shrimp and pork wonton soup and pork spare ribs with garlic. The soup had a nice clean broth that was packed with sesame oil and white pepper flavor, among other things I tasted in the broth. The dumplings were plump and had a good amount of filling inside. It was also nice to have some fresh crisp bok choy as well. The pork spare ribs were crispy outside and soft and tender inside. Not a lot had bone and I appreciated that. They top it off with jalapeño, onion, garlic bits and that was good with the pork and rice, all eaten in one bite. The prices are a little on the pricier side. But the portions were fair and the flavor of the dishes we've had were really really good. Oh wait, we also have had the beef roll. And my friends and husband have said that it rivals a decent LA version. So I'll take their word for it. I realize that we also had the cumin lamb, which they said wasn't very game, but you can tell it's lamb. They said it was tender and a good amount of cumin flavor. The cucumber side dish was crisp and had a good amount of garlic and vinegar. At least that's what I tasted. We will definitely come back here again and again.”
“The smoked salmon is without a doubt the best I have ever had. I am a huge smoked salmon fan. If you are buying the mass produced and packaged salmon from places like costco or the supermarkets. You don't know what you are missing. The texture and flavor is so addicting. This is easily one of my top 10 favorite foods to eat.”
“My friend and I had a great lunch! They were busy, all the tables were full. But they served us quickly and the food was amazing! We had the all you can eat buffet and I will certainly be back.”
“If you haven't dined here... You're missing out! Kai has amazing food with a great atmosphere and great team! Owner is extremely nice and attentive. 10 out 10 hands down!”
“Very bright airy and clean, service was great. Although they were not busy. Oysters were fresh, buttery and clean. Had oysters 2 ways. Raw and Rockefeller. Both exceptional. Always a good meat at any Brigantine I've been to. And I've been to almost everyone in SD county.”

“Don't usually bother writing reviews. But the man who rang me up deserves it. My experience was smooth, I felt like he genuinely cared about my fitness goals and recommended me a product based on that rather than to make a plain sale. I will be back.”
“Okay, today was my third visit here and I think I have enough data to confidently give this restaurant five stars. I had given up completely on San Diego Mexican food and started buying my own carne asada, cados, cilantro, etc. and cooking it all myself at home. I will make an exception for this restaurant and I'm going to start getting burritos here. I got their ridiculously huge breakfast burrito a few weeks ago and it was exceptionally fresh and well made. I ate half and my wife had the other half. I came in yesterday and got their California burrito, and it was exceptionally fresh, tasty, and well made. So I was out getting groceries and dropped in there again a while ago to try another breakfast burrito. Am now almost finished eating a steak and bacon breakfast burrito and every single bite is delicious, fresh, well made. That tells me that this place makes excellence a habit and my first couple impressions were not just by chance or dumb luck. The prices are very sane and reasonable too! And I'm very happy to have a place where I can get great burritos again! I hope this place never changes and that I can continue eating here forever. A sincere thank you to the owner and all the employees here for doing an awesome job! I love it when a place allows me to write a great review like this too. A third great burrito in a row made my morning a little brighter and happier.”
“I have been there twice during my travels here. The food was good and service was excellent. Happy hour prices were very reasonable. You must try the nori fries. They were delicious!”
“Tastings: Flight of 5 wines, Whites $13, Mixed $14, and Reds $15. Wines by the glass (white or red) $13, Specialty wines $13-$16 (prices as of 8/19/23)First time visiting this intimate, rustic wine tasting room and production facility in Poway. Tristan poured for us and was a very gracious host and extremely knowledgeable about their wines. They have a nice selection of whites, reds, dessert wines, Sangria, and refreshing slushies. Their fruit is sourced primarily from California, and they make a little bit of everything. IMO, the white wines tend to be a little lighter bodied, crisp, with little time on oak. The reds were a little lighter bodied than what we usually prefer, but well made. The two "dessert" wines were outstanding. Wine tasting is very subjective, so you should definitely give it a try for yourself. They don't have food, however there are several local food vendors that will either deliver or you can pick up and eat there. The inside tasting room is not huge, but they have a large outdoor patio with wonderful views of Old Poway Park and the sunset. They're open later than most wineries, so that's a perk as well.Definitely worth a visit when you're in the area.”
“Great food, great staff, and this place attracts people of all sorts who manage to enjoy each other's company despite any differences.Vegetarian options: Who cares... this is a barbecue place”
“It was my first time here and I like that they have a bakery and grill inside the grocery store. I met up with some friends at this location, but actually went to the the wrong one at first LOL. We shared a platter, apple salad, tabouleh, hummus, etc. The platter was huge and very nicely presented. It had skewers of Chicken Tikka and Beef Shawarma, served with different kinds of rice. Both salads were refreshing and hummus was great. The giant pita bread was bigger than my head! Before we left, we decided to get a tray of baklava as well. Everything was delicious and service was excellent.”
“Glad to be able to have authentic Italian in my neighborhood. Celebrated my mom's birthday. I always order carpaccio di manzo, and calamari fritti. It was rainy Monday at 6:30. The restaurant was very crowded. Recommend to make a reservation.”
