“We are die hard Din Tai Fung people but only for special occasions due to wait times and cost. Ju Feng Yuan was pretty dang close to a din tai Fung dumping but reasonably priced. Highly recommend. Very clean! We had the soup dumplings, custard buns, fried rice all was very good.”

The staff and service is also very caring and helpful, making sure everything is to your exact liking. Super!”

“Filippi’s Pizza Grotto is such a classic! There’s something special about visiting a family-owned restaurant with more than 75 years of history and recipes that have been passed down through generations.

The food is hearty, comforting, and wonderfully old-school Italian. Their pizzas are generously topped with plenty of cheese, and there are lots of classic pasta and Italian favorites to choose from as well. Portions are satisfying and it’s an easy spot to visit with family or a group when everyone wants something a little different.

The service was also incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our visit, which made the experience even better. It’s easy to understand why Filippi’s has remained a San Diego tradition for so many decades. We had a great experience and would happily return!”

“Looking for a replacement Chinese Restaurant, since my favorite closed down. Ran out of options in Poway. So decided to give 369 a try. They had a few Chinese options, so tried the Broccoli Beef lunch special. I was pleasantly surprise, very good flavor and large portions. The regular portion would feed two. They also sell Beef Chow Fun. I normally have to get this at a sit down place. Theirs is pretty good. One day I will try the Ramen.”

“Great service. Excellent location with plenty of parking spots. Food was.. ok. Pho broth was your typical MSG premade broth but a little too sweet for me. Meat was a overcooked. My bf ordered shrimp stir fry noodles and it was too saucy to be a stir fry. Vegetables were way undercook and too little noodles. Eggrolls were good. Video playing on the tv was very loud. Three to four stars.”

“Everything here is authentic Mexican food. Mix of street food and regular restaurant food. A little more than a hole in the wall place. Start with 99 cent fish tacos. They are great fillers.”

“Hit up the New Nutmeg on Danielson Street in Poway. I heard their Scripps location closed because the landlord raised the rent so high it was unaffordable for them to stay there. We were a large group so we were able to order a bunch of menu items. There was a line but its a very popular place so we were not surprised. We started with some espresso drinks, and agua frescas. We had the Hearty Bowl, Avocado Toast, and Amazing Burrito. Some in our group had the new Grandpa's Breakfast Bun with the egg and spam, and the Porky. They are very flexible with special orders including one in our group who is gluten sensitive. We finished, sharing their in-house baked pastries (they have gluten-free pastries); the warmed espresso scones and cinnamon buns (don't ever leave without having the "buns"). I work in the area so Nutmeg is now my go-to for breakfast before work, or lunch. Its also located nearby Costco and Home Depot, convenient for a weekend meal before or after my weekly Costco runs.”

“Ordered a 20 piece senorita box, maple donut, guava malasada, bavarian malasada. The senorita bread was really good right when you get it. It comes out warm and the bottom of the bread has a slight caramelization. As it cools, it’s definitely not nearly as good. I probably wouldn’t eat it if it wasn’t warm. I toasted it in a toaster oven and it wasn’t as good as it was fresh, but still tasty! The maple donut and malasadas were only okay. Not something I’d order again.

“This is such a great locally owned pizza place! Their pizza is delicious, they have reasonable prices, and everyone that works here is super kind! Their lunch special can’t be beat price wise, and they give such big slices that I usually share with my daughter. We come here at least once a week, and I’m so glad that we found this spot!”

The crowd favorite was the stir fry spicy ramen noodle. It was a flavor explosion in my mouth. I live in downtown San Diego and drove in traffic to meet family and I will drive in traffic over and over again to eat here.”

“The Not-so-Tots are great. Order them with no liquid cheese, only shredded cheese (unless you like liquid imitation cheese). The chili cheese dogs are pretty good too. The hamburgers, are pretty awful. Every time I have ordered one, the meat has been stale. That kind of almost rancid fat taste. I gave it 4 stars overall, because tater tot nachos? Doesn't get much better than that. Atmosphere is lacking, the tables are crowded together, and they're always busy, so service is so-so.”

I do not think I have ever seen him not smile. They have two cooks that are always there. Food is always consistent. Great spot for Carne Asada burrito, or tacos...of course they have much more. Come down and have some chow. Oh yes, the salsa bar is amazing...”

I couldn't believe it! They reassured me that everything was okay and that they would finish cleaning up the mess. I ordered Pad Thai and Som Tum for the first time today via Uber Eats and I'm pleasantly surprised!

As a Thai food lover, I have to say both my orders are delicious and exceeded my expectations. Ordered Hot spice level and it's appropriately spicy. They're not stingy with the shrimp - 6 jumbo sized shrimps in my pad Thai.

I appreciate the care put in the packing of my order. There is a cardboard placed in between the som Tum (salad) and my pad Thai. Never seen this done in other places.

“I go for the lunch buffet with friends all the time. If you don't ask, they won't put out a new pizza, so keep that in mind. The buffet is reasonable price and they have a few different options for pizza they rotate out. Just ask and they'll make the one you want. They have a salad bar too and some cheese and cinnamon twists. Nice interior. People are nice.”
