“I enjoyed the atmosphere. I ordered a breakfast burrito with pico and avocado. Objectively speaking, it was pretty good. I found the pico to be a bit heavy on the onion, as tomato should be the focal point, with onion to accent the flavor. The hot sauces also could use more body, whether it’s more vinegar or more peppers. Overall, the sauces were quite watery with mild pepper flavor, which can definitely affect how the average customer views the quality of the restaurant.

If you make the hot sauces a bit thicker, and use less onion in the pico, I think it would benefit the business significantly!“

We’ve ordered catering from the Scripps Ranch location and also love coming in as a family. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully done. I especially love the generous use of fresh avocado - I have way too many favorites to choose from. Their unique, healthy twists on classic salads and sandwiches really set them apart.

Salads I keep coming back to include their takes on the Cobb, Caesar, Quinoa & Avocado, and the Not So Fried Chicken Salad. For sandwiches, the Banh Mi, Not So Fried Chicken, Farm Club, Peruvian Steak, and Caprese are all fantastic. There's really something for everyone, including great vegan options—you can’t go wrong. And the spicy curry couscous? Absolutely to die for.

On top of the food, the staff is outstanding. Every person I’ve interacted with has been warm, welcoming, and genuinely focused on making customers happy. “When considering the size and cost of this sub, it is a great sandwhich. I love the philly cheese subs, hot buffalo chicken, and chicken bacon ranch all on herb and cheese bread. Not a lot of seating and the parking is very crowded. The staff rotates in and out fast since its a summer job kind of place, so during lunch rush with a trainee cashier, it can take a bit longer than normal, but overall still worth the wait and difficult parking lot.“

“I enjoyed a nice breakfast wrap from this Grab & Go Subs in Kearny Mesa. In fact, I did not know that they offered breakfast these days.

For the breakfast wrap, you get a choice of spinach wrap, wheat, and or I think it was a sun dried tomato wrap. I went with the spinach and bacon for my protein, in addition to the scrambled eggs, and cheese.

The wrap was good. The eggs were fluffy but needed some seasoning. I added some black pepper. Unfortunately, they do not offer a salsa, but simply bottled hot sauce. The bacon was tasty and had a good chew, and the wrap came with a decent amount of cheese.

The hospitality was very nice. The young lady at the counter was very sweet. The service was efficient. I also had a cup a coffee which was very good, but I wanted to turn it into an ice coffee. I was surprised when I was told they did not offer ice. I can't understand how a deli does not have ice.“

What is my judgement of the "atmosphere" here? Too funny. It's a deli, in a commercial area. When I was little, one of my Uncles said: You can't eat atmosphere.

My opinion of the food & service? 5/5 stars. A+. Service has ALWAYS been great. Prices are reasonable. Lots of great sandwiches to choose from. Never had a hot sandwich, but every "cold" sandwich has been great. Today's bean & cheese burrito w/chicken was... average. I will continue to have lunch at Summers.

Parking: Looks like there's PLENTY of parking spaces. I parked my tractor-trailer on Via Del Campo today. Didn't want to disrupt anyone's "flow."“

Unfortunately, the system was still taking orders and customer support didn’t help at all to issue a refund. Today I go in to satisfy my subway cravings and explained the situation. Immediately, the profesional artist contacted the owner in an attempt to help me out. I was told the order will be canceled and I will be refunded! Cool! 2 hrs later, Justin had reached out to me with a wonderful solution, a heartfelt apology, and an explanation.“

“Definitely one of the better Subway locations I’ve been to in a long time. It was super clean inside, the staff were friendly and moving quickly, and there was a steady flow of customers. Have to emphasize the high level of cleanliness here and the very good service.

I ordered a salad based on the turkey sandwich, and added every veggie except pickles, plus olive oil and red wine vinegar on the side. It’s kind of small for $10.54 after tax (see receipt), but I was in a pinch for something as I forgot my main part of my lunch at home.

Overall the salad ingredients were really fresh, and once mixed, it tasted pretty good overall. With my three hard boiled eggs I brought from home, it was a pretty filling and solid meal.

I give this Subway a 4.33/5 stars (high for any fast food honestly) and definitely think it’s one of the better locations in all of San Diego city.“
